About 30 mins ago I booked a bolt from Shoprite Jabi to Banex Plaza, Wuse 2 Abuja and asked him to deliver a PS5 Controller and a FIFA 22 Game CD to someone in Banex. He got to Banex and had some verbal altercation with the recipient without even seeing him at all. I told him I'll change the destination from the app so that he can return the item back to me which I will still pay for since it's a card trip. But he refused and instead held onto the item. He has refused to deliver it and has refused to return it to me. I called the customer care line to report this issue just now and they let me know it was wrong to use Bolt for delivery, I wasn't aware of this before but it's noted now. But then I have to retrieve my items from this driver as I consider this stealing. What can I do?

Report the trip from within the App

You want to hide an information from a black man, put it into writing.

That's what you get when you fail to read terms and conditions b4 agreeing to many things.

How many times have we stated it here that Bolt is not a carrier service

How many times have we stated it here also that eating in the car while in a trip attracts a fine especially if the trip was a card trip and driver reports "Rider messed up my car". Uber can even go as far as blocking the rider if they refused to pay

But here in Nigeria we tend to abuse everything, insult drivers, text them soup things to buy from the market, give them gas bottle to go refill with their money then want to transfer to their account, turn drivers to automated teller mechine or pos or even the driver's car to a motel where they can have quickie without paying for room service.

My guy, sorry about your ordeal o, ignorance is not an excuse to the law so kiss your item good bye or go to shrine and ask the babalawo to do a charm for the driver to make him return your item. Send the pictures of you being in the shrine to him on WhatsApp weather he will return it. If he doesn't just forget about it.

I was about replying the guy but you have said it all obviously the guy that should receive the item he sent either insulted the driver or rudely spoke to him.

I swear reason why that driver doesn't want to release the items but I believe the recipient must have offended him greatly so he may just want to punish them both.

Bro do you mind sending his contact to me via WhatsApp let me talk to him let's see how far... what causes the Altercation?

Driver asked him to come out of the Plaza to come and collect the item outside. The customer said he can't, that he should drive inside the Plaza, and he will see him. He refused. Just that small issue.

4matic simply means 4-wheel drive

Most of them have the ability to transmit power only to the back well making it a RWD then most 4matics are V6.

But some C-klass like C230, 240, 280 etc have V6 but are not 4matic.

I think the 4matic generation started with the C300 from 2004/05 but most of them have the same engine as their Junior brothers C180, 200, 203, 240 and so on and so forth only that their ABS and other compartment are more advance and better.

But the 1st and 2nd generation of the C-Klass is far better, na first to die...

You know that saying, na for corolla Japanese finish work.

Same thing you'll hear a real Mercedes Benz user and mechanic will say to the C200.

Those two companies finish work on those cars

Na to go dey gather money be that. Nice one

Whatever the recipient told him is not enough reason to withold what is not your own, he has criminal tendencies.
He should have returned it to the sender since he already told him to do so, in as much we are yet to hear from the driver let's not pretend not to know what he did was bad.

This is a dicey situation as you have at least 500k with that driver right now.

Play it cool. The driver is probably still emotional (maybe he had a bad rapport with the receiver)

Send him a message, apologize for wasting his time and what not, then offer him an incentive. If he’s still adamant, then he’s a thief and I’d advise you to get a police report and take it up with bolt.

You don't know the distance he travelled to deliver it, what if he has other plans after the delivery and intended to go offline. Drivers also have their private life to live you know

He cannot take it up with bolt, bolt just cleared themselves that they don't run delivery services so he should take it up with the driver. The little information he has about him is enough for police to work with of they want to

My opinion is they can assist with the investigation by providing an address but bolt’s system is very porous. The driver could be using a fake account rendering that path null and void. I hope he gets his items sha.

Bros I know but that is still no justification for him to hold on to what doesn't belong to him, what happened to sending it through courier like delivery bikes?
Nothing from his end shows he had any intention of returning the items.
All these judgements are based on the report we have until we hear from the driver maybe that will also influence the judgment, but I don't see any reason for him to seize somebody's property.
Very bad of him, no justification whatsoever.
