The draw for the CHAN tournament, Algeria 2022 qualifiers preliminary round will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022

Holders Morocco and 46 others will participate in the qualifiers

Only players who play in the domestic championship of their country are eligible to compete
We should use this to test how good the home based NPFL players are and leave the super eagles for professionals plying in best clubs to play. No need for sentiments in call ups

Last time out, Ladan Bosso took an all Northern team to embarrass himself. This time around, he appears to have learnt his lesson and called up players from the southern part.
But seriously, Bosso doesn't deserve 2nd or 3rd chances. He's a yesterday's man. I don't mind having a foreign coach for the U20s if we don't have capable grassroot coaches.
yes Ladan Bosso shouldn’t have been retained but why are you lying? Why are you desperate to paint him as a tribalist? Below is his squad from 2020 how many northerners can you see here?

THE FULL LIST

Goalkeepers: John Amah (Box2Box FC), Chibueze Lambert (Abia Warriors), Kolawole Oladipo (Crown FC)

Defenders: Temitayo Ereku (Brookhouse Academy), Charles Etim (Blessed Stars), Mike Zaruma (Plateau United), Christopher Nwaeze (Kwara United), Moses Solomon (Calabar Rovers), Isaiah Ejeh (Kwara United), Jimmy Abdul (MFM)

Midfielders: Oladoye Adewale (Water FC), Liameed Quadri (36 Lions), Muhammad Abdallah (Nasarawa United), Azeez Oseni (36 Lions)

Attackers: Chisom Orji (Collins Edwin), Wisdom Ubani (Giant Brillas), Farayola Olawale (Kwara United), Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi (Giant Brillas), Nenrot Silas (Plateau United), Peter Olawale (Hapoel Ranana, Israel)

Stop lying to yourself. Osimehn got 1 Half chance in game one and 3 half chances in game 2 that he lackadaisically wasted doing sangalo. If you want to be referred to as World class, you must learn how to convert Half chances or Create goal scoring opportunities for yourself. Please, name me 1 world class striker that doesn’t convert half chances or cannot create goal scoring opportunities for himself? I didn’t say that world class strikers do not miss half chances. The fact that, he insulted a legend that was trying to correct him shows that, he hasn’t learned his lessons. Personally, I want a striker similar to “Emenike” in the SE just incase our opponents pack the bus
Emenike 37 games 9 goals but yeah you want somebody like him for the eagles

You have a striker that has 10 goals in 18 apps yet na the one wey score 9 goals in 37 apps dey enter your eyes all because of Long range screamer.

I am just telling most of you who don’t rate yakubu because of South Korea miss ,I am telling you guys how good he is

He didn’t play for a big club like Chelsea but almost have the same amount of goals with drogba

I didn’t say he is better than drogba grin
I rate Yak highly cos I followed him right from Okomu oil fc to Julius Berger and had closed contact with him during Nigeria dream team preparation camp for Sydney 2000 in Ilorin. He was in camp with my pals Sunday Johnson,Oluwole Johnson and Idemudia Usigbe and opportuned to watch their trainings in University of Ilorin old mini campus and Ilorin stadium.

Oh that missed against South Korea really dented his rating.Damn too poor from a prolific scorer like Yak and one of the worst in FIFA WC.

Honestly,Yak is good cos i remember the day he scored five goals in a match in Nigeria league. This is my five best Nigeria CF.

1.Thompson Usiyen
2.Rashidi Yekini
3.Victor Osimehn
4.Victor Agali
5.Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

*I'm seeing Yak inducted into EPL Hall of Fame anytime soon.

How I wish Osimehn was in afcon to nail it and register his name as one of the best......goal ratio sometimes doesn't do it.Nigerians remember and value those who do it at a big stage like afcon or world cup.

Damn too painful Osimehn missed afcon and also missed coming WC.

Nigerians will always remember
Rashidi Yekini 94 afcon
Emma Emenike 2013 afcon
Odion Ighalo 2019 afcon

Once bitten, twice shy...Ladan Bosso is correcting his mistakes. Better he goes for players in the academics and grassroots who are hungry for success and within the age limit rather than going for overaged NPFL players who are just looking for foreign clubs to snatch them away. I believe he will get it right this time. Just that the time is short.

Once again, people like underling irrelevant stats while dismissing the most critical and important part. For example, As a top striker for Nigeria, Emenike delivered an ANC trophy, qualified us for the World Cup and reach the round of 16. (He immensely contributed towards those trophies) Afterwards, he lost form and rightly departed the SE. the key part here is that, “He won ANC and qualified us for the World Cup” whatever happened afterwards na his business. In my eyes, Keshi, Emenike and Mba are legends. If our modern day strikers like, make dem score 1000 goals against Djibouti, bamako if they fail to qualify us for the World Cup and fail to win an ANC trophy, they’re FLOPS. Some slowpoke will say that gernot Rohr deserves to be sacked because he lost at home to CAR and draw Cape Verde not realizing that, he met his main Objective. (Qualify us for the nations cup). In football, the end always supersede the beginning
