We know for sure that greedy, selfish and power drunk elements in the north will work against this.

But if Nigeria fail to rally around an Igbo president of South Eastern Nigeria,it will be concluded that Igbo are not wanted in the equation and will work relentlessly to leave Nigeria to become their own independent nation !

Since 2003 there have being several Ibo organised conferences, seminars and workshops with the main goal of Ibo Presidency, even 2003 Ibo world Congress that held in Texas the main focus ever since then has being Ibo Presidency

Reality is noise making doesn't win any Election, emotional blackmail doesn't either

Seeking consensus candidacy or micro Zoning only portray a candidate as weak, and Nigeria would never vote a weakling as President.. never!!!!!

Go on twitter or create a thread on Nairaland and ask a simple question... What are the achievement of Peter Obi , Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas Okorocha ... Also ask Tinubu and Osinbajo's or Atiku and Tambuwal supporters this same simple harmless questions.... Their response would help you understand why people are skeptical on trusting them with the might Presidential executive powers

Ibo candidate must seek out vote like any other contestants and candidate without seeking backdoors and sympathy

.
Exactly! Candidates should market their potential, rather than relying on sentiments.

Please if the Igbos are part of this country then the best time to get a credible hand from the Southeast is now.

I am in total support of an Igbo presidency.
They hate APC with passion since the formation of the party. May be Atiku will change his mind and give his ticket in PDP to them. Lol

Expect they're lazy and wanna be spoonfed, let them work for it like others are doing. Tinubu for instance has been going round the country, meeting people, consulting, despite his age (which might limit his strength). Igbo candidates on the other hand (even though younger) are sitting in their dormitories, waiting for the people to come hand them dinner on a silver platter.

They even mock those seen working hard for the position. Even Wike whom people imagine can't get there is making concerted efforts towards his goal.

I think the problem of the Igbos is that they've burnt every single bridge upon which they could reach out to others with their unbridled HATE and bitterness. They feel they could bamboozle, threaten, coerce, or blackmail Nigerians into doing their bidding, but indicators or pointing in the opposite direction.

A Yoruba man will be our next president. Know ye this day and be at peace.
I won't join words with you. I only believe that for fairness and equity if the Igbos are part of the integral nature of this country then it will not be a bad idea for them to feel very belong.

I am not against a Yoruba man been the president also but I am TOTALLY against a TINUBU presidency.

The Igbos may be small but we cannot totally undermine them, Buhari did and he is signing out as one of the worst President to run this country.

...and APC hate them too. APC was the one who called them "a dot in the nation" "the 5% people". Even in the South South we really don't like APC because of its lopsided approach to federal character.

I for one, speaking for myself even if I am the only one will not vote an APC candidate let him come from my clan. Any other party but not APC.

yes I agree with you... But the truth still remain the fact that the most populated ethnic group and the most zealous power seeker which are the north set out a propanda towards Jonathan and stylishly dethroned him based on zoning. Yes based on zoning yaradua died and they believed a northerner should succeed him but instead Jonathan took over and completed the remaining tenure.... as expected a northerner was supposed to take over 2011 instead Jonathan won and ran a four years.... Still as expected that he will hand over power to a the north he declared to run again. And what happened those who supported him in 2011 decamped to Apc. Jonathan was never kicked out because he was weak or corrupt but the north just wanted power to shift to them. Look at it today, the level of corruption under this administration can not be over emphasize but it is been looked away because the north are not dragging anything with the south. What they want right now is one who will be controlled by them and one who will without haste return power back to them. Weather you like it or not zoning is the only thing that can keep this country together. Don't sweet mouth it when it favours your region and cast it when it is the turn of other region. Thank you

For fairness and equity indeed. How the fvck same isnt being said about the other over 500 tribes in the country? Igbos don't have more rights to the presidency than they do.

Let everyone canvass for the position as humans. No one will "dash" anyone the presidency for any effing reason.

Who is Adebanjo representing? This question becomes important because Clark has been representing the Ijaws. He stood by Jonathan, defended Jonathan and fought Obasanjo severely to defend and protect Jonathan an Ijaw man.

Who is Adebanjo representing?

Good move.

But it is difficult to take south east serious in next election.
There is huge plan to disrupt the election in their region.
No political party would like to gamble on their chance on that region where people may not come out to vote in large number.

What is happening in this forum is a case of “The more things changes, the more they remain the same”
Last night,i was reading so many interesting threads from youths on twitter.Youth is begging Nigerians to shun what ever ethnicity shit and vote Peter Obi.At the moment,He seems to be the only one campaigning on addressing Nigeria issue,Which is GOVERNANCE.Twitter seems to have ppl who are willing to move Nigeria forward with their votes.
But this place is all about biles and vileness attacks against regions.
They ppl here are not Evolving!

Two failed old politicians that Tinubu has humiliated at different times.

Tinubu humiliated Adebanjo and his Afenifere gang when they went and colluded with Obasanjo.

Tinubu also humiliated Clarke and his godson Goatluck Jonaddaft in 2015.

Yesterday it was Tinubu, today it is Tinubu, tomorrow it is still Tinubu. The old fools are ganging up against their tormentor Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Truth is you're a hate filled folk...

Simple question; what role did OBJ or Yoruba play to get PDP leaders and other military strong men to push and get a Yoruba president in 1999huh
You're very myopic, you're asking what role the Yoruba played. The government sacrificed Abiola's mandate and only compensated the SW with a Yoruba president. Stop saying things you know nothing about
