Ibrahimmrfish:I find this educative. So, it was not that the Fulani jihadist were simply invaders but considered by many to be liberators as well from tyranny the locals faced from their then rulers. The light yoke of the Jihadists was very welcome to the heavy taxes levied by their previously kinship rulers. In a way, it is a bit like Hong Kong. The people of Hong Kong prefer British rule to that of mainland China who are fellow Chinese. Under the British who were white, they enjoyed lots of freedoms which Xi Jinping, the strongman of China has now repealed. |

Darkcloud11:You are wrong my friend, a very mature(educated) igbo does not believe in your write up above. I knew MNK to be a fraud from the get go and also know the civil war to be a huge mistake that has costed the Igbos dearly. Stop equating ignorant IPOBs with smart Igbos . Peace! |

mi35:Look, I don't like your uncouth language. I looked around this thread and the only ignorant persons I see around here are you and the commenter before you. Obviously a fellow fulani. What you may want to do is repudiate the salient points raised by the Op without lumping all southerners together and chose to display the same crass arrogance and foolishness Fulanis are known for. How many are you in reality if I may ask?. We know your playbook, the same as the fellow you agree with is now augmenting with. Mixing up with Hausas, or even Yorubas as we have been observing your tribe do does not negate the very truth that you remain a minority on the Nigeria census map. I will take that ignorant, Loud and empty, toxic and sentimental southerner any day in place of a cold-blooded murderer, Kidnappers, thieves, liars, manipulators, closet apostates, etc that your people are well known to be, and I am being modest here. Tell me, what is it about fulani that anyone should be proud of today?. You know as good as the Hausas themselves that your people have completely emasculated them in their own space today. But it is no one's responsibility to extricate them from your chokehold but themselves. Take this to the bank though, the day Hausa finally remember that they were born free, therefore should be free and self determinant, your story in Nigeria will change. And if you think your despicable terrorist kinsmen camped in our forests will save the day for you, then I have a bridge to sell you. I am not interested in engaging you or your new friend but do not come on here to ignorantly insult people who know you better than you know yourselves. |

00FFT00:This the person I am arguing with? Lol, we know your likes, hate-filled, frustrated, pained and sad. As for murderers, take them to a judge wherever you find them and whoever they happen to be (Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa) for all I care.

OFFICIAL336:Lol, just a search on NL about how ebonyi Igbo's are second class Igbo's should suffice. Don't even talk about PH, Delta and other Igbo's living in other places or have a partial igbo ancestry. Yoruba only look at the rest of the south when they have a need for them. Sau nawa zan fadi cewa na bahillace ne? Will you guys ever learn? |

mi35:Most Igbo are really not hateful and we treat Hausa people with love. You guys are over generalizing. However, I personally think we are not compatible with the north who are very comfortable with the ignorance, poverty and death that is ravaging that region. We have a unique way of life and really want to be on our own where our potential will be maximized. I have no issue with you guys but you are extremists for goodness sake and we are mostly Roman Catholic. You guys need to have your own nation , like Niger and Chad. Your people have been in government all these years and look at where you are. That same religion that unites you is same thing destroying you. I wish you guys the best but you are a stumbling block to the success of this nation and believe this can't continue for too long. Have a good day. |
| Re: Why Is An Hausa Man Not Coming Out For President: Are they Fulani slaves by IDENNAA(m): 12:57pm On Apr 25, 2022 |
mi35:The same ignorance you see in the South can be found in the north where religious ignorance is ruining you people. Stop pointing fingers and look at your own backyard....there is a slaughter and ethnic cleansing going on there. Igbo are mostly peaceful and value life so much. You people vote along religious line and you are talking ignorance....oga , rest , biko. |

ArewaNorth:Nigerian is patrilineal society hence Buhari is a Fulani regardless of where he was born or where is mother comes from. Besides, only Fulani wants to be addressed as a Northerner. The rest identify with their ethnic groups wherever they are in the South. However, if the North are not divided along Ethnic lines, why are the crisis in Plateau state, Kaduna South, Taraba, Benue state etc? If you look critically, it has always been the Fulani Vs other Ethnic group? If they are one as you falsely claimed, why is ethnic cleansing going on in those places? Bokoharam is Kanuri's idealogy. Sultan of Sokoto and other Fulani emires would never want it to come to fruition else the end of Dan fodio dynasty. Mr man, stop deceiving yourself. The largest ethic groups in the North are Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri etc The same way the largest ethic groups in the South are Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio/Efik and Ijaw. In fact, Ibibio/Efik, Ijaw and Uhrobo are the major Ethnic groups in the SS. Whereas, it's also made up of Yoruba, Igbo and Edo. Look at the map below. So, Stop lying next time to deceive the gullible. Nothing like North or SS is safe.

IDENNAA:Nice writeup, but a few points stick out I must say. 1. Don't you think this a general occurance? I think its your people that carry the 'we are ahted because we are chosen' dogma. 2. Someone who has never been to the east will think that its best thing that happened to planet earth after big bang when its the exact opposite. Sure there are uneducated and a lot going on in the north, but is the east as you paint it to be: elderado? 3. Genuinely don't have a problem with that, when talking about way of life, I think you should scout your audience first before 'blaspheming', there are kingdoms and Emirates in northern Nigeria with a thousand year history while yours started around 1900. 4. Looks like you are not well versed in how the world works, history and geopolitics or are just plain myopic, same religion being practiced by Saudi, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Turkey and lots more and who happen to have excelled in all facets of human & development indices, your premise is wrong. 5. These statements will make someone whos never to the east side genuinely think its eldorado. We both know its not. Above all, the vibe of contention is someone trying to play the favourite card : emotional blackmail in Hausa's for identifying with Fulani, both of who you absolutely DONT care about. Besides, in an ideal world, and if I have the power, Biafra would have been a reality 600 years ago, not afraid nor bothered. Shalom. |

Gireiboy:This claim is simply untrue. Tell us where you class the people of Southern Kaduna are they HausaFulani? In virtually every state in the south We hear Seriki Hausawa as distinct and separate from the leaders of Fulani They live separately and practice different trades Fulani and Hausa may be integrated to some degree in Nigeria but Fulani and Hausa exist outside Nigeria e.g Niger, Ghana and many other countries where they do not have the same kind of integration YOU tell us where the phrase Hausa/Fulani came from > . I have NEVER head anyone describe himself as such. I have a few Fulani friends who ,by the way are Christian , and they always introduce themselves as Fulani. I am sure no Fulani from Ghana or Burkina Faso , Guinea or Mali would identify as Hausa/Fulani Fulani culture operates a CASTE system which is alien to Hausa culture and which to some extent the Fulas have foisted on Hausa Hausa do not do herdsmen activity and are largely traders or farmers To a large extent the Hausa are subjugated and CANNOT become any of the major EMIRS. These emirs tend to marry themselves across emirates. Anyway at the moderators why allow the abusive term "Fulani" in the topic Rule 2 In the Northwest a lot of the bandits are Fulani and most of their victims are not |

aribisala0:Oh, its possible for a chinedu to become the oba of Lagos. Besides, why are guys so fixated on Fulani lording it over Hausa's? You developed feelings? Besides, if Fulani are alien to Nigeria (having been in Nigeria before those who formed Nigeria came down here) are still aliens, don't you think everyone is an alien then? Just very recently a certain Mazi said we have Jews in Nigeria who lost their way a couple centuries back. |

Please explain your thinking because you are not communicating No I do not think everyone is an alien and again I do not understand how your brain works I do not think I used the word "ALIEN" to describe Fulanis or how that is relevant to what I said Maybe you need help with comprehensoion What has what any Mazi said got to do with ME and how is it relevant to my post? Borno empire existed before Nigeria was formed as did Benin, Oyo, Kano and so on . Nigeria was formed of those components that have aboriginal peoples |
