I am interested in running a PhD program in noun. (PhD mathematical education) I have gone through the site to find out the registerable courses, sch fee and other enquiries but I noticed they are not on the site. My first degree is b.sc mathematics (lasu), pgde(noun), MSC applied mathematics (NDA) will like to know the running cost, no of semester or years and duration.
Can I run the program here in kaduna study centre kaduna because someone told me that PhD maths education has to be in abuja centre, also full time and due to proximity I want to know before I pay #10000 for the form.
Please most especially will like to get breakdown on the schfee schedule and registerable courses for the semesters please you can email it to my mail: jjluckendo86@gmail.com or WhatsApp on 07032510594.

Greetings,
With what I know about PhD, it is less of course work, and more of research work. The program is basically minimum of 3 academic sessions i.e. 6 semesters. The scholar's commitment and that of his/her supervisor determine the exact duration. In NOUN, the very few course work will be done in seat of the department, which in this case is in Abuja. Unlike Masters, course work for a semester can be examined on the agreed date most times different from the University Examination date. The agreement will be made by the Department and the PhD scholars. Safe for making out time to see your supervisor physically, if need be, you may only need to visit Abuja for a week in a semester.
Remember, the Department may request you come for interview before you may be granted admission.

GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY CHECKER

Are you a student of the National Open University of Nigeria?

Have you concluded your program and you're waiting for your name to be listed on NOUN graduation list?

Have you be waiting semester by semester but all to no avail your name wasn't released on the graduation list and you're asking yourself what could the problem be?

Or you're among those whose result was just released and you feel you've been cleared of all hurdles in NOUN and you're liable for graduation?

So as not to be hindered you're required to do a Graduation Eligibility Check. This will enable you know if you've cleared all the required courses and also help point out courses left undone that could hinder being listed on graduation list.

This can be done by those in 100-800 level as semester check of graduation eligibility check will help guide and quickly resolve any mistake done on time through your journey in NOUN.

The programme is new as we are yet to have graduates from the programme. That being said, from the course outine I have so far, the programme is NOT a two-semester programme. In fact, the programme is for 3-4 semesters. As for the estimated cost, it will be in the range of 175 - 220k.
