whats your question?

- Is it advisable to study Masters in Social Work at an Australian University that has not been accredited by the Association of Australian Social Workers (AASW) body?

- I studied Political science BSc with a 2nd class lower division and a GPA of 3.04 on a 5 scale. Does my GPA meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a Masters program in Social Work? If yes, can you give examples of the specific universities that accept 2nd class lower (3.04 GPA) for Masters in social work?

- Do universities in Australia accept Social Work applicants that have physical disability like a deformity or bend on the left arm ?

Pls guys, what is the advantages of studying at regional areas of Australia compared to major cities like Sydney and Melbourne or states like Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales?
- Is it true that you would get additional years for post graduate work permit if you graduate from a University at a regional area (e.g Perth) compared to major cities and states (e.g Victoria)

Yes

what if you study Masters in Social Work in Sydney, Queensland or Melbourne?

Personally, I'd choose Adelaide because it's in a regional area, which means you'll have a three-year post-study visa and they give preference to students who graduate from regional universities when it comes to sponsorship for permanent residence.
Is it true that you cannot find Nigerian people or our community at Adelaide? Do we have specific Nigerian group forums or chat group based in Australia regional areas or even states?

You will still be required to submit IELTS scores with your visa application, but as long as you can write, speak, and understand English, you should be fine. I wish you the best of luck.
no escape, lmao. Australia ehn, their tuition fees no be simple juice at all. It's even hard to work and raise money to pay partly

Those intending to come for study, choose your course wisely as things will change starting from July. International students won't be allow to change course without approval from the Minister.

I heard about this news too. Very sad, esp for those seeking career change while in Australia

According to all the articles I have read; YES.
but the issue is that there are some degree programs that automatically admit applicants from different backgrounds. For example, Australian universities usually accepts international students from social science background, psychology and human science field to apply for Masters in Social Work. Will this be interpreted as changing your course?

Well I don't about Visa grant, but then I know recently is difficult to get admission if you want to come with your family. And then they were downgraded to AL3 From AL1.
which one is AL1 or AL3 rankings? I've never heard about this before

You don't need any other evidence, if the school you applied for supports paying both the tuition fee and the OSHC then it will be boldly written on your COE, also stating the name of the health insurance company or agency there in your COE.

Thanks

If peradventure July classes starts do you advice starting up online class? Deferring the course is till next year February.

No, I am not a supporter of online classes. Why should you have to pay more than $15,000 to attend an online class? It is not worth it in the slightest.

No, why would you want to study in an unaccredited institution while also spending a lot of money?

2. You must conduct your own research or hire an agent to do so for you. My one piece of advice is to seek out universities located in regional areas.

3. That is not an issue at all. Classes are attended by people in wheelchairs, with canes, and with dogs, so don't be concerned about that.

On the first answer, I meant that the Masters program in Social Work is not accredited by the accreditation body, AASU, at some universities like Flinders, CDU etc. Should I go ahead to study the Masters program in Social Work even if the course program is not fully accredited yet?

I've seen it already. I've been in contact with people in Australia, and they keep telling me that studying in regional areas like Darwin (Northern Territory), Adelaide (South), Perth (West) and Tasmania are the viable places for 3yrs post graduate work permit and easier pathways to PR compared to other states and territories in Australia. How true?

Hi you can ask the agent for a sample they should be able to provide that
You can also send me a mail I have a guide that can help tho it’s gotten from a Canada group but it’s very similar

According to my understanding
There are 3 assessment levels, AL1,2,3
This are just assessment levels on which the schools are categorized and how the visa officer assess the applicant
The AL1 they might not ask you for bank statement and IELTS at the visa level but it’s better to still have it just incase and even submit it
AL1 is the best then 2 then 3
Some people also say AL1 has higher visa approval rate than others

I would advise you do your own findings, read through this thread and watch YouTube videos and research well
