Bring out the pass stats of our midfielder that first half. Kroos was the deepest midfielder so most of his passes are meant to be side-way passes. He did his part, just that a solid defensive destroyer in that midfield with him would have helped us more.

Why was Modric and Valverde hidding from being outlet for passes most time??
