You are in America but you have never ever taking a single picture outside, not in a bar or outside your work place or any popular spot, only in a room. Is your eczema so bad you can't step outside your room?

Although this op is a know nairaland troll . Alot of people abroad suffer mental health issues and its alarming. Having to pay off student loans, mortgage, car loans and credit cards can take a toll on someone. Alot of people abroad you see living best life are living pay check to pay check. The pressure of paying 40 to 50% of your salary as rent monthly too dey there. There is loneliness too, if you toast babes too much they can say you are harassing them or make you go jam mad woman wey go accuse you of rape. men that cant find what they are looking for usually come home to marry. Our ladies most times dont wanna do that. Yet they complain of depression and loneliness . As a 9ja person you can navigate all this wahala using 9ja sense. Your kids however might not be able to escape it.

Hi everyone, I regret leaving Nigeria for America

Ever since I came to this country, I have had lots of illnesses like chronic eczema and PTSD… Now, I can’t go back home because of the medications I am taking. I came here as a child with my mother.

Please what do I do?
Solutions:

1) Try Going out more to meet people.
Join a Good Church.
Attend their services. Meeting people whom you share the same faith with helps well. If possible, be active in the church. You can also volunteer as a church worker. It helps in meeting, getting to know people and making friends.

2) The Ezcema is definitely from your blood. Most Chronic Skin Issues are mostly from the blood. Using creams and soaps might not work.
A skilled Dermatologist or Aesthetic Nurse can help with this.

3) Join A Gym House. Try working out more. It relieves stress, makes u feel good and be in shape. It also helps with your PTSD.
Once you start feeling and looking good, you would fall in love with your own body and love to go out more to meet people so they could see you more and admire your looks.
Looking good will make you more confident in yourself. Also you can even meet and make friends at a good gym house especially with people on the same fitness journey with you.

4) If you are the party type and u have little cash on you, you can try going clubbing. Go to the club and have fun. Dance and drink moderately. Look and dress Sexy when going to attract people to you and be friendly when they come. People are attracted to looks.

Above all, Smile more. Read wide so when you start meeting people, you will sound intelligent during conversations with them. Intelligence is attractive.

Life is what we make of it. It's the choices we make.

Make the USA fun for your wellbeing because that is where you are presently so you won't go into depression.

Nigeria is not perfect. Millions here suffer far worse PTSD as a result of what happens in their personal lives and as a Country as a whole.

I hope my little tips will go a long way in helping you.

I wish you LOVE dear.

Never mind. Just read some of her other threads and realized that the OP is a well-known, mentally ill troll.

Don't mind her!

Have we ever seen a Naija man complain this particular kind of complain? It is always our ladies complaining of loneliness in overseas country like USA.

That's why I laugh when these feminism people keep talking about gender equality.
Gender equality has nothing to do with not having friends. There are plenty of Nigerians here in the US with happy, busy social lives and plenty of friends. Despite what you see on tv, social isolation is a choice.
After reading some of this person’s threads, I can understand why she has no friends.

If you came to America as a child, then its not your fault you left Nigeria for America because you had no choice but to follow parental instructions to move. If you're an adult now, see if you can get a remote job position that will allow you work from anywhere and then save up money and move to a peaceful functional African country. Don't come to Nigeria for now due to the incessant kidnappings and insecurity in the country.

Once you leave America, your chronic eczema will stop because you will be eating naturally grown food and not GMO laden and processed food like you have in America. Also the PTSD will go away once you are no longer living in a racially hostile environment. And if it doesn't go away, you can always sign up for counseling. Today, we even have online counseling services available whereby you can speak to your counselor via zoom, google meet, and many other ways.

USA may be 1000 times better than Nigeria to 2u, but women never get chased the way they chased in Nigeria.

Women garner lesser attention.
In Fact, the country favours single & younger men more, that's if you can remain focused.
oh ok

Op, what you really need to do is to get a good paying job, save some money and go on vacation and enjoy yourself, trust me you will forget about going back to Nigeria. The only reason why you want to go back to Nigeria is probably because you are struggling out here.

What's the cause of PTSD?... were you in the military?... usually the ones that went on operations suffer from PTSD. With all the sufferings and mental health issues you are after degrees?

From comments... I think too many have this idea that medical attention is affordable in the US .... and the system is set up to find solutions to your medical problems. It is set up to manage your problems.... to control it ... not cure it. It is highly unlikely for you to go to a medical facility and they find nothing wrong with you.... and not prescribe medication.... medications that have side effects.... and medications to manage the side effects and before you know it... one has to take sooo many pills each day. There is nowhere in Nigeria period that can provide the medications such a person will need. If we look back at the pandemic.... with the shut down of medical facilities .... the virus was claimed to be killing off the elderly only.... when in fact many of the elderly are on medication and failed to get them as needed and died. This I know for a fact .... from personal experiences. And we wonder why politicians choose to go to the UK for medical treatment and not the US.
If OP was in the US as a child... and been on medications.... especially on psychiatric medications... I can understand the regret .... freedom over poverty and whatever else .... as is... I guess she feels trapped in a box for life. I'm almost sure... eczema can be cured using traditional medications in Nigeria... but only managed in the US .

bro I have been observing that for long .. even though USA parade themselves as the country with the best healthcare in the world yet our politicians keep running to UK or Germany..there's something behind it

2018 was when I realized western media lies to the masses using facts. Ironically I found this out when undergoing media training. It is touted that China has a population of 2 billion citizens, yet a recent data leak of 1 billion citizens is regarded by the same western media as 70% of the population’s information stolen. They can lie with facts but sometimes are forced to tell the truth due to circumstance.

Dont mind @1stGenAmerican. I don't understand the reason for the irrelevant investigation and doubts.

Sorry for the PTSD. I was a sufferer also and many don't understand what you pass through. The pain of living and suffering with this disorder is very hard to express.

Don't forget to ask for help when you need it
Remember the healing is a gradual process
Keep up with your medical routine

Initially PTSD was studied primarily in connection with military veterans. Things have changed. You don’t have to be a soldier to be diagnosed with PTSD. You only have to be a survivor of some traumatic event.

Wait first of.. you hud are actually missing out somethings here.
1. Op said he/she is suffering from PTSD, do you all think loneliness can easily cause PTSD? The op must be a chronic loner for some ptsd ish to develop from that, that is no form of social media presence or surfing, no netflix/movies, no visit to the grocery stores, well unless she had witnessed some life changing incidence, shooting or something like that.

2. She came in as a child.. you all missed this. That is she is suppose to be more American than I am a Nigerian, bring black and american, imagine the kind of community she might have access too, traveling, and other activities. The system would have already been enshrined in her, if she is nigerian american, the chances of her living like the normal AA mostly with no purpose is low. Why? The influence of Her full Nigerian parents.

3. She left when she was a child that should be in the 1990s then, her view of what Nigeria was then compared to now, would have being greatly distorted. But let imagine she never watched the news, being a child in America, how would she cope as an adult now in Nigeria, yes it's fun here.

4. Normally the best option for some like this would be to take a second degree in another country go on a long vac at some carribean island.

If it's coming from an adult Nigeria who just left recently, then it's understandable.

PTSD related to what experience?
Are you sure you wouldn’t have had same illnesses in Nigeria?
Lucky you have good hospital with medication. You might not have been that lucky in Naija

Hmmmm....... ever since she came to this country she was suffering from PTSD.... hmmm.... maybe something terrible happened efore she left... probably the reason why she left..... to get away from the scene.... the body did but the mind didn't. Guess she now feels it would've been better if she stayed back .... maybe friends would have been good therapy to help her get over it..... migrating she had no friends so the trauma kept her company. Just speculating!
