From spiritual perspectives, it is better to maintain peace and harmony in a family.
From available information, it seems like Yul didn't get the consent of his first wife before this second wife got into the family.
THAT may bring problems.
Most of the time, the debate around polygamy gets lost in the practical application of it.
One man may harmoniously marry 10 women, while another man may not marry even two harmoniously.
The devil is in the practice rather than the concept.

Meanwhile below is the babe in question.
I can see why Yul fell flat. cheesy

The major issues with most people in our society is hypocrisy and manipulative attitudes. Everyone just acting smart. Someone got a side chick pregnant and he's now turning the matter into marriage plan? Funny people

Yea, your right, e get as e be ... BUT,
Is it better for him to leave her unmarried and his son "family-less"?
One of the most important spiritual laws is to never judge anyone.
All I would say is that if I were Yul, I would do EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE to appease my first wife.
IMHO, that is the only spiritually just way to settle this matter.
I don't know whether this whole thing was premeditated per se, after all men tend to fall for beautiful women.
We will not kill Yul our brother for falling... for a dangerously good looking woman.
But we can advise him to appease his first wife.
Polygyny (African style) if well contracted, is not a sin.
The other available option would be divorce, which is far worse than what he did.

Show me one scripture where God condemned them or any other for marrying more than one wife. You people should stop being overzealous and walking in lame paths of ignorance.

As much as God didn't condemned it doesn't mean He supports it either. In the beginning it was a man to his wife not wives. 2 Timothy 3:16 will broaden your understanding of the essence of the scripture. No overzealousness here.

I'm not being a western slave. Marriage is honorable with the bed undefiled. Without the scripture stating otherwise if we may consider that, have you considered the much disadvantages of polygamy?

That they did such didn't make it right. Even Jesus pointed same by saying it was not so in the beginning. It means God's plan for marriage wasn't so but for the hardiness of man's heart.
Apostle Paul echoed same
Is it a sin or not?!

Polygamy may not be a sin, but it's morally wrong. Those of you backing up your claims with the guys in the Old Testament, you are wrong. When it comes to marriage, the original idea was one man with a woman.

God created only one woman for Adam and that was Eve. He should've created more but in His wisdom, he knew one was okay. So, what's the point with marrying many women? You don't have any justification. In fact, you are looking for trouble.
Assistant Jesus!

God is no author of confusion...if he neve condem it...when did He have a board meeting with you to say he did not support it? were there not a lot of practices that were held in the old testament that Jesus him self revised? or the Holy spirit revealed were now acceptable to God? so where even when divorce was spoken about did having several wife's was quoted a sin? There are no grey areas with God.

Davido, wizkid and several Nigerian artistes have children with different women they are not even married, the society thinks it’s the norms because the oyinbo dey do am and it’s cool now the same society is going crazy because an AFRICAN MAN married another wife and has a child with her ??

We’ve lost it as Africans asswear

The world population as it stands has a ratio of 3:1 of women to men

There are lots of unmarried women(not girls) out there looking for husband, not to talk of girls looking for ordinary boyfriend , that’s why Adultery is easy now, even a man without money in this Nigeria can still fornicate it’s just level

Why is all this happening, it’s pure science

Ratio 3 :1

For every 1000 men we have 3000 women

If the 1000 men marries 1 woman each we have 2000 women left, each married man will have 2 side chicks comfortably

Just think of this

We Africans are supporting lgbtq community, but polygamy is bad

We’ve lost it

I’m not even saying anything related to religion here , no be everything we must drive towards religion it’s just psychology

How many married men with one wife isn’t cheating ??

How many??

It’s biology and it’s science

Men will look for new women, but most don’t marry them they just get sex from them

And an African man bold enough to marry another African woman is crazy?

Look at the woman self , she’s a very beautiful lady, even with her beauty she’s settling for a married man

That explains the ratio

A Nigerian activist and Pastor of Mind of Christ Christian Center, Reno Omokri has reacted to Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie’s second marriage.

Earlier today, the Nollywood actor had posted a picture of himself and his son whom he welcomed with his second wife.

The post generated many reactions by celebrities and fans.

A loyal follower of Reno Omokri called his attention to it and asked for his views concerning Yul Edochie’s second marriage.

Reacting to it, the pastor stated that being polygamous is not bad. “Polygamy is not a sin”, he said. Reno went further and said that God Himself gave David many wives. He drew his submission from 2 Samuel 12:18.

The pastor made it known that polygamy is scriptural and only forbidden for bishops and elders of the church.

Pastor Reno said that it’s saddened that the Africans accepted the concept of monopoly which according to the clergyman, is the constructure of the Western world.
His statement reads;

Yes there is more to 2samuel than the vers 18, within the whole Chapter 12 there is a part that shows how much God loves and cherish polygamy even a child from a polygamous family here some vers in the same 2samuel chapter 12.

Reno? The one that welcomed a daughter with a side hen last year? Why's anyone expecting him not to side with Yul....when they're both in the same boat? Nawa o.

Before Reno was exposed for cheating, he liked to castigate women who jokingly told him he's handsome or that they liked him.

He will embarrass them and claim that his wife is the only woman he sees and adores. All that stopped the moment he welcomed his daughter.
A hypocrite like him... can't be my mentor or pastor. That's how they lead people astray

Always talking as if you know more than your creator, Are you the one that made the Bible? If the word of God which is the Holy Bible is against polygamy the story won't be in the Bible. why did God create man to have millions of sperm and woman to have one egg that could freeze when she enters menopause? It's because God created man to multiply and not stick to one woman but religion has eaten deep into your head that you can't use your sense anymore.

People who read the Bible the way you are portraying here are not Christians but people just looking for things in the Bible to validate their desires. Your mind is shown clearly when you start condemning religion and advocating senses.

God told Prophet Hosea to marry a prostitute for a reason. Now will you say because it is in the Bible you should marry prostitutes? In the same Bible you see Mosaic Laws and several ancillary laws from God but you are not concerned about obeying them, it is marrying multiple wives that catches your fancy.

The mind of God on marriage is clear as expressed in severally in the Bible including the following: Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, Ephesians 5:32-33, 1 Timothy 3:2, 1 Timothy 3:12. Jesus himself confirmed it in Matthew as being one man and one woman.

Reno is not a genuine Christian but masquarding as one. It is not strrange he calls himself a Pastor because that title has already been bastardized by Africans. It may surprise you to know that his proclamations on Polygamy started after he was involved in an extra-marital affair that led to a baby and he was exposed in the media. When David was exposed of his sin, he repented but when Reno was exposed he began trying to use the Bible to support his actions. Such a person is very dangerous. Please beware of him and his self-serving theology!

One thing I dislike so much about full time christians is that you will never reason in a rational way no matter what you say, you must always find a way to say things that suite you, if God told someone to marry a prostitute and he did, are you now contradicting God or opposing his decisions. Why don't you tear out the places that you don't like in your Bibles, tear the pages out, tear the old testament out because God says in the new testament that marriage with one woman is the best. Tear out the old testament where God didn't condemn David and Solomon. You lots always trying to revolve religion in everything and saying you know Gods mind. is there a difference in the God of old/new testament? Because for all I know God never change so how can you say you know Gods mind when God himself created man with millions of sperm and a woman one egg. Biologically you must know this thing in school right? So why are you now putting religion into everything. I'm a christian and I don't reason the way you do .
