You can say anything but as it stands today, tinubu is still the leading candidate for the presidency that's why a particular region mention and castigate him for all of their problems.
What the writer is telling you is that leading candidates usually do not win primaries of their party, for ruling parties, they get sidelined in the end.

The under dogs wins that's what the writer is saying...

Who are the underdogs now...

APC....Osinbajo, Amaechi
PDP... Tambuwal, Peter Obi

The tickets of both PDP and APc will not escape one of these men.

Die minutes, Wike will strike a deal of VP with Tambuwal and that Tambuwal will hand over to him after 8 years, when Power will return to South. He will betray the South for his selfish interest. A Peter Obi ticket will kill his dream of being President forever.

Buhari will ask Amaechi to Step down for Osinbajo and that he will be rewarded with May be SGF or a juicy ambassadorial seat. Or Buhari will ask Osinbajo to step down for Amaechi, Osinbajo will be rewarded with a juicy Ambassadorial position maybe to UK or US where he will chop his loot in Peace

Even in America, the same thing happens.
Who knew someone like Trump could be president?

If this history is anything to go by, then I think it favours Osinbajo.

Then that would be the greatest punishment meted on Nigeria by God. Another 8 years of agony.

Lol. Funny. Osinbajo is the least suited as he's already in the corridor of power

The person you quoted is right

Osinbajo doesn’t like to talk about restructuring cos he believes that isn’t the problem, he also doesn’t like the idea of state police

Before being VP he hasn’t contested an election before so he will be seen as someone who needs a favor and they can get an ROI from

Forget leading candidate and face the fact,I like him but I don’t see him picking the Apc presidential ticket, maybe he will decamp you SDP.

Truly. That willy old aboki wey no dey hear word will.

Though I am interested in how they intend to navigate Tinubu and his urchins. The chairmanship blow was easy for them to take. But that Presidency, nooooo they wee nor take it

Have you asked yourself how OBJ navigated past Odili?

I don't know Buhari's candidate but the sure thing is he will do it his way and every other person will queue behind him. The number of aspirants you see is just a smokescreen, most of them are really there to stamp the President's position.

Odili was not gunning for President. He was gunning for VP. In terms of political followership and media machinery, you can't compare Tinubu with Odili.

Tinubu has also come out to boldly own the ticket with his full chest something Odili never did.

I'm sure Buhari will do it his way but I doubt there will be no collateral damage to APC in the process. The Tinubu boys have been having buhari induced cramps since 2016. They managed to conceal it and Buhari has been adding to the crampst till now they got to a point they can conceal it no more. That primaries will be the last cramp that will break the carmel's muscle I tell you.
