Chuks with a monster game performance today, unfortunate to be on the losing side.
Hopefully he starts vs Liverpool 2nd Leg.

For him to get 7.4 means he has missed at least 1 major chance.

Modified: He didn't. Very flawed rating.

Whoscored gave him 8.01. More accurate.

AC Milan don carry serie A
Late for Napoli
Maybe Napoli gets it next season
They shouldn’t give up

Seems like 23 year old Victor needs another season to prove his worth at Napoli
Napoli should win the serie A, that’s the only way to justify how much he was bought.
They need to get return on their investment

Ac Milan has bought Botman and Origi and are planning to spend additional 200 million and you want Napoli to win Serie A because they bought Osimhen

Before you respond it's wisdom to consider the context in which comments are made.

Somebody said Victor O has EVERYTHING to be a world class Striker. I disagreed with a rhetorical question ❓

So respond in context please.

Victor O has pace , and unbridled murderous aggressive rage and determination coupled with relentless hard work.

That's his DNA

He is not technically astute and gifted.

Victor has the quality to be a World Class Striker. However, it takes other factors to make it work. As for talent, he has always been a monster talent, even though for a long while you have chosen to deny the obvious.

Diego Forlan ended his career as a World Class striker. I doubt he had the touch of Zizou, the skills of Ronaldinho or Neymar, or the speed of Ronaldo De Lima. I doubt he had the intellect of Messi or the touch of Messi. I doubt he could read offensive spaces like CR7.

What Forlan did was to train his best qualities and shone in them. He learned how to read the flow of the game and found a way to get to the end of the play to finish accurately.

I read Forlan used to practice his shooting until late in the night while trying to build himself after flopping at Manchester United. In the end, he became one of the best strikers in the game.

Honestly, I watched Diego Forlan as a young player from Nigeria '99. First noticed him in the game against Brazil (note, Ronaldinho was in that game).

However, I must say, he did not show the kind of talent Oshimhen showed at an early age. So if Forlan could end up a World Class striker, Osimhen can. I just hope he lands on the right coach who will favor his attributes. He is one hell of a striker. He just needs some things to make it click.

At age 23 and when you have paid £80 million for a player he should be more or less the finished article.

Yes he should improve but development is for teenagers.

That's on Napoli actually, we've seen far worse price tags on even worse players. Its not new. Besides, i think you're contradicting your own stance that i know here. Development isn't for teenagers. Scattered all over sport blogs are 25-26yr olds talking about such and praising the manager for improvement. Napoli got eye and he's given them just what they need, and they'll happily move on. They were the desperate party. He will move to England and any of the managers he will end up with have a great portfolio on improving a player's game. Except such player wants to be unfortunate.

I'll give Wenger, SAF once praised him for this aspect. He looks where no one is looking and gets everyone Wondering why such a player was hiding all along.

Good bargain for both parties actually. Martial wants a france move though. Too many baggages at Man U that ETH will have a lot to do once he lands.

For this set of SE players, this WC loss should be their motivation till they see 2026 again. I expect a few break out stars from the u20 too. A pity that happened at our backyard.

I expect a new goalie when the new manager takes over.

I guess you think Joao Felix is a finished article because Atletico Madrid paid £105 million for him. It does not work that way. When you buy a young player, one thing you put into context is an improvement with time.

One thing that mr Komekn always refuses to acknowledge is Victor's age meaning he's far from being the finished article. Saying things like price tag as if it was Osimhen that forced Napoli to pay that amount for him.

Great players like Drogba, Van Persie, Etoo, etc didn't fly out of the blocks when they were Victor's age but with time and little improvements season after season they reached their optimum. Drogba till he retired had a terrible first touch but look how he became a monster of a player.

Why I'm even so insistent on backing Osimhen is the fact that I've seen him improve his game in other ways. Initially when he started out he couldn't hold up play now he does that without much stress, before you could count on one hand how many goals he scored from headers now he's becoming dominant in the air. At 23 I think he's done very well and a first hand view of his development over the past few seasons makes me optimistic we haven't seen the best of Osimhen.

What even amuses me is the way Komekn creams his shorts over Dennis that has only managed double digit goals in major leagues only once in his career but Osimhen that has done it back to back 3 seasons in a row now is not worthy of celebration because of ''price tag'' plus he younger than Emmanuel oh!

Not his fault though.
Was just fresh of a scary injury that was FOAK (First Of A Kind) for him and he hadn't gotten over it psychologically.
That's why you have got to give it to V. Osimhen. He fractured his skull but still scores and attacks with headers upon recovery.

Osimhen recently improved in his movement during build up plays and around the box. (Iheanacho also improved immensely in this area - I think that is why Rodgers is now given him more time than before).

The thing is that there is always room for improvement and price tag does not mean finished article. Very few players are like Messi, Neymar, and Erling Haaland, that hit their peak at a very early stage.

Most take time to get there. I agree with you that Osimhen has handled himself well so far. When you think back to how far he has come from his days at Wolfsburg to where he is now.
