Justices of the SC do not change their positions that easily when it comes to judgements, it is what makes the SC the highest court of the land. Did you not think a landmark judgement was not going to be met with protests? Did you think it was just going to slide quietly? Even the SC expect protests, there have been protest for lesser judgements, worth more a landmark one like this. The protests are inevitable in my opinion because one group is going to be unhappy. Protests are not illegal, the last time I checked the right to protest is protected by the Constitution.
Of course, they can try and force them to change it.

This has never happened before also.

Biden has been against roe v Wade all his career. Voting to repeal it, anti abortion. All of sudden he is for it.

Can't believe i'll post shit from a shitter.

But this dodo ain't wrong, he's literally talking about the "book banning", cancel culture, race raging, christian nationalist, American taliban Republiqan party, or at most the Criminal trump cult arm of the GOP.

The Supreme Court messed up!

70% don't want Roe gutted, 70%!
When you enrage Liberals, and Independents and reasonable sets of republicans, you are getting the 2018 House Democrats victory all over again.

June 5, 2019: Biden reaffirmed his 40-plus year support for the Hyde Amendment.
June 6, 2019: Biden immediately reverses his 40-year position and denounces Hyde Amendment.

You are still holding on to straws my boy..
Biden flip flopping on the Hyde Amendment is not a new thing, and i believe you don't even understand what that Amendment means.
You can support the Hyde Amendment but stand against gutting Roe v Wade.

Please just go to bed.. Don't get me started.

Blue Wave this November!

Blue Wave all the way. The Goop Party will remain the minority for many many years to come.

The only power they will try and wield will be in the red states republiqan majority.
But in Congress, Goop party will die a slow, horrible and miserable death, thanks to Criminal trump.

If you have moral issues with your job then don't sign up for it or leave. There are some positions you will see things and hear things. It's irresponsible to go leaking out things you are privy to as a result of your position

If we start with everyone, should doctors be leaking their patients health results to the public, lawyers be leaking what their clients told them or NASA scientists and defence contractors be leaking official documents?
Different situation - only if it will affect the whole country yes they should. If you are a psychologist and your patient told you he is about to bomb the city, showing you all the stuff he will be using - won't you say something ?

I don't see any reason making a big fuss over the leaking of the news. The news itself is the big issue. Those making a headline of the leak are simply deflecting from this major major groundbreaking news.

The implication of this overturn means the imprisonment of women who seek abortion.
How can the republican party not see that the world has advanced far past this stage. There is no single developed country where women are imprisoned for abortion, not even Russia.

The argument about gay marriage, abortion, equality act are now fully embraced and embedded in these societies. I don't see how the GOP maximises gain from this at all.

I am pointing out how Snowden is conflating whistle-blower to a fool who leaked what is not a secrete.
I have to agree, his comparison is foolish.

Confidentiality, as in, one shall not blow whistles, is a fundamental duty of a clerk, once a profession of mine for many years. Clerks must not even have whistles, not to talk of know how to blow!

In 1982 Joe Biden proposed a constitutional amendment that would overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to choose their own policies on abortion.

In 1994, Biden wrote a letter to a constituent bragging that he has voted against abortion funding on 50 separate occasions.

Biden voted for the “Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.”

June 5, 2019: Biden reaffirmed his 40-plus year support for the Hyde Amendment.
June 6, 2019: Biden immediately reverses his 40-year position and denounces Hyde Amendment.

Since Biden is going far-left, watch the nonsense he will say tomorrow
Maybe he's actually going far right, being a Catholic and all, or am I being overcynical?

My trust levels are very low where politicians are concerned, I do confess.

What do you think they mean when they say they want to bring back the good old days, these people will bring back slavery, this thing is clear as daylight, let their minons continue obfuscating.

In 2022 the major party in America wants to endanger women and take away their rights omo

The funny thing is that I'm not actually feeling this enthusiasm the Dems are feeling Right now about the midterms.

Desantis won Florida with less than 1% margin 4 years ago, that huge state continues to trend right, Texas is trending left but it does so, so slowly.
In the house of representatives, the maps are now soo gerrymandered that there are very very few competitive seats. Many of the seats are already baked in for the parties. MTG will definitely return, same with boebart and Matt gaetz because they're in very safe districts.

As for the Senate, the Dems will surely lose the Ohio seat held by a democrat, I don't see us retaking Rubio and Scotts seat in Florida. Our hope lies in Wisconsin, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona. Our best projection is at 52 seats.

I'm just not sharing this optimism. It's very depressing that for the democrats to have a trifecta, they must continue to win the popular vote by up to million vote difference.

Its too early for enthusiasm, lots of redistricting maps are still being contested, American system doesn't work much for Democrats that's why they need to start taking bold decisions, Republicans don't play nice, Democrats should learn from this, get voters rights and other bills done.

Republicans are in the minority they just rig the system better

You think this is about optimism? No!
This fight is a fight for the future of the planet! Fvck optimism!
Democrats, Independents and disgusted republicans will get the job done in November and send the Goop party into oblivion, under the rain or the sun, under voter oppression and through the night.
It's not about OPTIMISM my guy

The GOP keeps leaning further to the right, and are now in the far right arena. It seems they got possessed by some demons in the last 4-5 years.

Just like prostitution, abortion can never be banned. They can only ban safe abortion.

Check: Nigeria (high rate of back-alley abortion).

I hope y'all discussing women rights on here are Americans living in America? Because it would be stupid for a Nigerian to be ranting about women rights in a far away country, when the women in Nigeria have zero rights.

Restless folks crying more than the bereaved.

Leaders vote for their party policies while normal people vote on their personal preference

When he was a small boy, he was voting with his Catholic faith

Now he is voting based on the mandate given him by his party

, I laughed because he was right-wing on the matter of abortion and his party was Centrist on the matter, and he's the one who jumped over to the centre. Pro-Abortion is a centrist policy because most Americans are Pro-Abortion. No reasonable country on earth is still discussing the matter. Not even a fanatically Catholic country like Ireland or Italy
