How can the republican party not see that the world has advanced far past this stage. There is no single developed country where women are imprisoned for abortion, not even Russia.

Russia does not want talks at the moment. The domino effect is already in place. What Russia needs now is heavy blow, when they see the tides are against them, then they will call for talks. The side winning in war usually don't want talks. Russia believe they are making progress so talks re the last on their table. Ukraine needs those weapons to give a big blow then talks will follow
