Lol.... This thread reminds me of iganmode grammar school. Even with their prestige of producing great students, their way of discipline was wack.
A friend younger brother told me he left when they wanted to kill him. I guess he mentioned the school is situated in Ogun state.

I'm a teacher.. That's how we add sense to their brain. If you don't punish them, they won't grow a single sense.

God bless you sir

The rants of a 21st century illiterate

You are even too mentally dense to know the meaning of "illiterate"

No wonder you can't differentiate between secondary school teachers and University lecturers.

Dunce.

Not allowing them to do the things they like to do for a period of time - no TV for 1 week, no games for 1 week, no playing with friends for 1 week, no sweets, etc

Children want warmth. They want to know that their parents love and care about them and if they don't get it from their parents, they'll look for it from somewhere else

Those harsh punishments train children for abusive relationships in adulthood

SUPERPACK:
mention the better ways.

I was referring to punishment alternatives for the teacher to use not parents. Like in situations where the parents use cane on the child what will the teacher now use as a corrective method for the kid.

The teacher can tell the kid to stay in class during break time instead of going out to play. The teacher can also give the child extra assignments.

I think it's also important for the teacher to reward students when they behave well. This encourages their good behaviors
