If they have a child already or are about to, there is nothing bad in that. Note your husband may not want a child yet, that is one of the ways of preventing pregnancy. |

I personally want a separate Bedroom, she shuld keep her clothes, shoes, wigs, handbags, makeup etc in her room, we can always sleep together but sometimes i'll need to be alone. In dis case the guy has something to hide, no doubt. |

1. It's possible they have explored and exploited each other's body so much before wedding such that nothing on the woman's body is exciting to the guy again. One of the downsides of being too intimate (sexually) before wedding. Now the lady doesn't excite the guy anymore... Mind you, this is just one year into the marriage 2. It's also possible that the guy is into something hideous that he doesn't want the girl to know... Probably has to wake up at midnight to do some sort of rituals or deals (maybe Yahoo) 3. It's also possible the guy is one of those guys that so much cherish their personal space to a fault. But then he has to accept that he is now married and has to consider the wife ... 4. He may like air-conditioner while the wife doesn't like it or it may be the other way round hence he needs his own room 5. The wife should check herself to be sure that she isn't the one pushing the man out... Probably, she snores heavily, has some odour or any other thing... Whatever the reason is I don't think it's really okay for couples to sleep apart especially in a very young marriage... What is there is some medical emergency overnight, only for one to wake up and meet the other person dead or seriously harmed |

When I get home from work at night, my children and wife won't let me rest, they behave as if I've been gone for weeks, I live in 3 bedflat and had to sacrifice 2rooms and the parlour for them, I told my wife that the third room should be left for me so that I can rest whenever I get back from work or on Sunday but immediately I get back from work, both my wife and children go just pack themselves come disturb me. At op it'll never work, the husband can never be alone except he doesn't love his wife/children, the best thing the husband can do is, have a nice time before you come home |

brightest5050:Certainly they can have their separate rooms, but they must sleep on 1 bed every night. If not, they do not have a marriage, they are just breeding partners. |

I have my room and my wife has her own room. With all the baggage women keep, it's better they have their space. |

Seperate room is not my thing. My husband and I will stay in the same room and live in the same house |
| Re: Her Husband Wants A Separate Room by GloriousGbola: 11:03am On May 05, 2022 |
One year is way too early imho. At a time when sex can and should still be spontaneous versus planned, when there is still a lot of bonding and when children are not yet in the mix - this is distancing in the FIRST year of marriage. |

Why should a husband and wife share one room if there are available empty rooms? Nigerian women seems to enjoy overdoing everything they learn from the white culture. Go and ask your mama, your papa and grandparents had their own separate huts. Irrespective of marriage, each party ought to have their own privacy still, na wa oh |

mohziz1:My Wife likes eating in the room, She still wants me to stay with her in same room but I find it difficult. Thats reason I had to separate to another room while she works on stopping it. She comes when she needs hugs. I go when I need her hug too. Probably the Man has a reason for this. |

It is too early to for the hubby to sleep in a separate room just a year into their marriage. However, it is possible if the husband is the type who works at night and doesnt want disturbance. As for me, i started sleeping in a separate room after the birth of our first daughter due to the nature of my work, a reseacher, i work well at night and the internet is always at its best at night. |
| Re: Her Husband Wants A Separate Room by Pinkyposh(f): 11:08am On May 05, 2022 |
mohziz1:My candid advice is she should just let him, don't ask him about it anymore. Just show him you are ok without him by yourself side. Don't try to show him your weak points, be strong. Most expecially be neat in and out,and dress to kill while in the house |

incogni2o:My wife enjoy sleeping once she enters her room while I am a late night worker who enjoy working at night, which means my bedroom lights stays on late, and my wife doesn't like sleeping with lights on, now how do we manage this if not by having separate rooms? |
