If only he understands what's written in the Bible book of Daniel 12:10 and compare with Matthew 24:45 Oga intelligence officer what is in Daniel and Matthew that states your religious leaders should feed Jesus sheep what does not make sense? The first century Jewish religionists also believes that Jesus carried his own words above God's word {John 5:18} that's why they were killing his disciples because they felt Jesus is an impostor who came to put his own words above God's. achorladey: True. Have you seen how LDS have their conventions? Same thing with JWs. They also wear the same convention badges with the same manner of dressing. You know what I think? I think these Freemason founders had some kind of coven meeting where CULT HANDBOOKS were shared to them to follow or maybe they were trained on how to start their respective Cults. If you go to EXJW and ExMormon/LDS reddit forums, you will be shocked at how similar their experiences in their respective Cults have been. In fact, both forums call themselves CULT COUSINS. It's like they were raised in the same Family. Even ExMormons/LDS come to ExJW forums and give comments about how similar they are. Do you know that in the U. S, if JWs are Preaching in an area and Mormons are already in that area Preaching, they turn around and leave Asap! Also, when Mormons are Preaching in an area, people begin to talk with them as if they are JWs but the Mormons quickly correct them and say "We are NOT JWs. We are Mormons". Comments from ExMormons who were asked which religion is Worse: JWs or LDS/Mormons. JWs definitely. Mormons can get graduate degrees from church-sponsored (and subsidized) institutions of higher education. They tend to be wealthier, healthier, and better educated than the general population and are over-represented politically---opposite of their JW counterparts. Mormons celebrate holidays. Their list of disciplinable sins is much shorter. Medical treatment is encouraged. Pledge of allegiance, national anthem, political participation, etc. Mormons can in many ways blend in with and succeed in broader culture, in spite of the refraining from coffee, tea, and alcohol. Mormons do not have a formal policy of shunning. Ex-Mormons are (by my observation) more numerous, better funded, and better organized for those who wish to get out of the religion. That said, the similarities are very numerous. Both have real issues. Both make you "weird" relative to the rest of society, JWs only more-so. 1 Like |

More comments.. JWs without a doubt. I grew up Mormon and left as a young adult. I met a JW and converted for him. Biggest mistake of my life. I would classify The Mormon Church as a high control religion while the JWs are without a doubt a cult. The LDS Church does in fact set a standard for its members and have some quirky temple rituals but the control the JW religion has on its congregation is much scarier. They instill fear in the rank and file in a way that the Mormons do not. Oh and the blood policy, that’s the icing on the cake. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Another comment. I think this is an ExJW. Jehovah's Witnesses are worse. Yes, LDS is also a dangerous cult, but at least they are less extreme, less demanding, less controlling and they know how to have fun. It's better to avoid them both, but if you would have to choose, don't go for witnesses. Another comment JW's are worse. All stick, no carrot. Mormons - internal charity, socialization for kids, right of passage missions, BY University. JW Organization has almost no benefits or positives. 3 Likes |

Another As an excommunicated Mormon, who has also studied the Bible with JWs for a few months (I did an interview with your member "True Faced" on youtube--I now have my own youtube channel 'Freed From Mormonism'), I can say for a certainty that JWs are MUCH worse. Don't get me wrong, I'm focused on exposing my former faith. However, I will give the Quorum of the 12 Apostles some credit vs the JWs 'Governing Body'. The word Governing Body doesn't even appear in the Bible. The Quorum of the 12 Apostles, at the very least, have the sense of mind to know that NO CHILD is ever going to have 2 Witnesses in a case of child molestation. One thing I didn't mention in my interview with the True Faced channel (there's only so much you can put on a 1.5 hour video), is when I talked to the JW Elder about child molestation, and he told me the Bible requires 2 eye witnesses, I told him to show my one scripture in the Bible to show Jesus would have kept the identity of a pedophile 'confidential' from his disciples, and I'll take back everything I've said....he was speechless. Look at the way Jesus dealt with Judas Iscariote, did he keep it confidential? What about when he threw the people doing business in the temple out? If threw them out, what do you think he would do with a pedophile? Your JW Elder had nothing to say. I'll be the first to admit that that LDS Church has not always handled the issue appropriately. However, they DO cooperate with Police when a serious accusation of child abuse comes up, which is a big difference for JWs. When Church Bishops meet with the youth to 'assess their worthinesss', Church policy now states that parents be present with their child during these meetings. (To participate in the Temple Endowment Ceremonies, you have to have a recommendation from your Bishop, and you get a recommendation by meeting with the Bishop, and he will 'assess your worthiness' to see if you can participate in the Temple Ceremonies). You will also find on the LDS's website what is called 'Gospel Topic Essays', and they are coming forth with their history and, yes, they're being transparent/honest about it. In this way, if someone decides to become an LDS Member, you can no longer say 'we didn't know this, we didn't know that.," So now, the responsibility rests on the member to do their research and be fully informed before becoming a member of the LDS. This is in BIG contrast to JWs who have 're-written' their history and then lied about it. The Mormon Church doesn't ban higher education, they encourage it. The Mormon Church does ban caffeine, but they don't have a ban on blood. I also found the Mormon Church to be a much healthier environment for the youth. The Mormon Church encourages youth the become involved with your community. JWs feel that being involved with your community means you 'part of the world'. The Mormon Church is not having financial difficulties like JWs are who are selling properties, etc.. The Mormon Church is expanding the construction of Temples throughout the world v.s. selling them. The Mormon Church doesn't have any written policies on shunning, but I do see that changing in time. Just recently, they came out and said restoration of the Church is not complete, changes are coming. I do see them locking down on shunning. There's a lot I can say about my experience in the Mormon Church. However, JWs are far worse. 3 Likes |
