Grammarians invents new words every now and then. So, rapture was used to replace falling away.
Catching away not falling away. cool

Jesus is coming back to the earth. Christians would not be raptured to heaven but rather to the sky to welcome the Savior to the earth. No verse in the bible teaches that Christians would be taken up to heaven.
What would they be doing in the sky for the next 7 years? undecided

No single verse of the bible talks about the good guys going to heaven and the bad left on earth. its false doctrine and and addition to the word

That is because you read selectively. The Scriptures and the OP is replete with verses talking about saints going to heaven.

You are getting it all wrong. Saints would go to heaven no doubt. But no one would be raptured to heaven. On that great day of judgment, the sheep would be separated from the goats.
The sheep would be given a place in the kingdom and the Goats cast away. No verse says the righteous would go to heaven via a rapture. If you know such a verse please quote it.

2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4;

1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ AND OUR BEING GATHERED TO HIM, we ask you, brothers and sisters,
2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNTIL the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

The above verse clearly shows the church would be very much around when the lawless one (the antichrist) who would defile God's temple would be revealed - Daniel 9 v 27 and Matthew 24 v 15.

13 But pI would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

This very scripture summarizes all I have been telling you. What do we learn here? 1. This is the coming of the Lord. Jesus Christ is the one coming back. 2. The Lord would descend from heaven, not we rapturing to heaven. 3. The righteous would rise from death.
Jesus is coming back to reign upon the earth and the faithful would reign with him.

Not so fast. Now read the following verses (1 Thessalonians 4:17; 1 Corinthians 15:51; Acts 1:9; Revelation 11:12; John 12:26; 14:3; 17:24) and let them sink in. cool

I do not think you read any of the above verses before sending them. So I have quoted them below for us all to read. None of the verses you quoted teaches of a Universal rapture for the righteous. Rather, they tell of Christ's second coming.

1 Thessalonians 4:17
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Yes when Christ comes back, the saints would rise and meet him in the air. Note it never says meet him in heaven but rather here on earth. It never said they would fly to heaven. The rapture story is a false addition to the bible's truths.
Acts 1:9
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Did you read these verses before sending them? This tells of Christ's ascension to heaven after his resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:51
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
This verse has nothing to do with the rapture. At the second coming of Christ, the righteous at that time would no longer die rather, they would be transformed.
Revelations11.12
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
This is the prophecy of the 2 prophets that shall be killed on the streets and shall rise to heaven. It has nothing to do with the Christain congregation riseing to heaven na.

because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord. So keep comforting one another with these words! 1Thessalonians 4:16-18

According to the above scripture something of that nature will surely occur but misinformed Churchgoers are getting it all complicated!

Jesus (Archangel Michael) will call from the sky but only his own followers will hear the call, and another strange thing Paul mentioned here is that "the dead in Christ" (Born Again Christians who are dead) will rise first from their graves and later other Born Again who are alive by then will follow.

This resurrection will not be noticed by unbelievers because it will be spiritual no physical bodies will be seen. 1Corinthians 15:44

What is the point of meeting Christ in the air if they will not go up to heaven to be with the Lord? Enoch and Elijah are examples of those who did not taste death but were caught up in the air in a moment. (Genesis 5:24; 2 Kings 2:11,12).

Acts 1:9

So you didn't see how this verse illustrated the rapture in the N.T.? Jesus died, was buried, bodily resurrected and while He communicated with His disciples on Mount Olivet, He was taken up, caught up (raptured) in the air (Acts 1:9-11)? Do you think Jesus is still in the air or here on earth and not gone to heaven?

The rapture was not only a mystery to the O.T. prophets but to uninformed believers and unbelievers alike. The rapture is surely a mystery to the world but not to informed believers in Christ. Christ the Messiah came for His people but the rejected Him (John 1:11), and God turned to the Gentiles to take a people for Himself. It is just a pity that some uninformed believers and the world at present are ignorant to the truth that the rapture will mark the end of this special period of grace.

NO!
The last among 144,000 of Jesus' Born Again brothers must leave this planet before the great tribulation but it will be shortened because they will not stay long in heaven before their government begins otherwise no single flesh will survive! Matthew 24:22

During the great tribulation all the members of the Governing Body who are preparing the spiritual nourishment JWs need will no longer be here again so the decadence will be speedy as many even among the JWs will join others in support of the one world religion that Satan will initiate by then to drag all the inhabitants of the earth to destruction. Revelations 16:13-14
So on account of the Born Again brothers of Christ who labored to gather us for over a century those days will be shortened for their labor not to be in vain. smiley

Those who hold onto pretribulation rapture doctrine need to rely more on eisegesis (imposing their views on scriptural text) rather than exegesis (letting the scriptural text speak for itself)

I’ve asked them a question earlier on this thread concerning the “last trump”. There is no other trump that’ll be blown after the one in Matthew 24 v 29-31, Jesus clearly mentioned it would be blown “immediately after the tribulation of those days”. That’s when 1Corinthians 15 v 52-53 and 1Thessalonians 4 v 16-17 will happen. The gathering of the elect Jesus spoke of.

Paul even mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4 that the gathering of the church unto Jesus won’t happen until the beast is revealed and the temple (3rd Jewish temple which is yet to be constructed) is defiled.

If pretribbers keep arguing the “last trump” would be blown before the great tribulation, then what are the trumpets that’ll be blown in the book of Revelation and the one in Matthew 24 v 29-31 called? Trumps after the last trump? cheesy cheesy

It is not my personal opinion it is what the Bible teaches and I have given you bible references to buttress my point. It is up to you to either believe the Scriptures or deny it. The Bible teaches that the rapture is the greatest event of all ages that the Church is waiting for. Like I said, it is the catching away of all true believers in Christ to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

tctrills:
We all know Jesus went to heaven but he never said we also would rapture to heaven that was your addition. rather, we would go to heaven after judgment.
If Jesus promised His 'Bride' that He is going to prepare a place for us and is coming back to take His 'Bride' to be with Him forever. Where do you think this place is located and why would you think the Church would go through Jacob's Trouble? (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11).

What do you know about the revealed word of God? If the 2 prophets were caught up to heaven then what stops the Church from being raptured? The truth of the rapture was veiled to the saints of old but known unto God are all His works from the foundation of the earth. God, in His mercy interrupted His programme for Israel with the interpolation of the Church Age. God will resume His programme with Israel immediately after the rapture, thereby ushering in the beginning of the 70th week in Daniel's prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27).

God's Word teaches that the Rapture (Commonly referred to as the first phase or stage of the 2nd Coming of Christ) is the taking away from the earth, of all living saints and all who died in the Lord. The Rapture will take place before the Great Tribulation and can happen any time from now.

"In a twinkling of an eye" without a moment's warning, "the trumpet shall sound" "and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (John 14:1-3; Luke 21:34-36; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:4-9; 2 Thessalonians 2:5-7; Philippians 3:11, 20,21; 1 John 3:1-3).

Is it not the last trump when believers would be raptured?

Is there any other trump that’ll be blown after the one in Matthew 24 v 29-31?

Matthew 24 v 29-31;
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
31 And he will send his angels with A LOUD TRUMPET CALL, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

1 Corinthians 15 v 51-52;
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: for THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

God's Word teaches that the Rapture (Commonly referred to as the first phase or stage of the 2nd Coming of Christ) is the taking away from the earth, of all living saints and all who died in the Lord. The Rapture will take place before the Great Tribulation and can happen any time from now.

"In a twinkling of an eye" without a moment's warning, "the trumpet shall sound" "and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (John 14:1-3; Luke 21:34-36; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:4-9; 2 Thessalonians 2:5-7; Philippians 3:11, 20,21; 1 John 3:1-3).
we shall meet in the cloud, and in the air not in heaven. Stop adding to the word.
