Ahead of APC Primaries, all seems to be set for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to decamp from APC the ruling party to possibly Social Democratic Party , SDP

Tinubu’s decision to join the SDP was sparked by a recent revelation as well as the outcome of yesterday’s meeting with other presidential candidates in the South West.

There were also speculations that Tinubu may have also influenced the announced defection of Abdulmumin Jibrin his Campaign Group Director General.

“I have done my best for APC; it is time to move on,” Jibrin wrote. By the grace of God, I will announce the new party I will be joining in 24 hours. More information will be forthcoming. Abdulmumin Jibrin, Honorable.”

Despite the fact that Jibrin has yet to announce his next political party, his defection increased rumors about Tinubu’s likely defection, which “is happening sooner than we imagined,” according to insiders.

To be or not to be, Tinubu’s purported defection has now dominated discussion in several quarters, especially after none of the aspirants agreed to the subject of a consensus candidate when it was raised by one of the conveners during yesterday’s meeting of South West Presidential ticket contenders.

Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former member of the house of representatives and director-general of the Tinubu support group council, has announced his decision to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC).

TheCable understands that Jibrin decided to leave the party after another face-off with Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kano state.

Jibrin had wanted to contest for a seat in the house of reps on the party’s platform but was reportedly blocked by Ganduje with whom he had been having a running battle for five years.

In a statement on his social media handles on Saturday, Jubrin said he will announce his new political party in the next 24 hours.

Don’t be quick to say. APC is made up of more than 3 parties.

It just shows how much you don't know Tinubu, Tinubu was the only opposition left for PDP, while a lot of his fellow colleagues decamped and lost their states , he was the last man standing and he coordinated the southwest and wrestled power from PDP where we had ACN has the Southwestern party . He's one of the few politicians we have that's ideological and stick to his ideology when others were political prostitute. Without the unity of the Southwest under APC it's impossible to take over power from PDP. Would you leave the mansion you built to become a tenant in a flat ?
