It's true the south east has a right of first refusal to the presidency in 2023 but they are not united enough and the approach to maiming and killing one another does not help anybody. It will collapse the economy of the area and people will refuse to visit their homes. Who loses now? Enough is enough

It will, by Constitution a president should get certain 25% in some states. So if election is boycotted and someone is declared a winner then it means it is an illegitimate government which is null and void and not binding on the people of the east

A candidate for a contested election to the office of president shall be declared winner if he or she has:
A. The highest number of votes cast at the election; and
B. Not less than one-quarter of votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all States in the Federation and the FCT, Abuja.

Election cannot be boycotted 100% in any state because you will still have politicians pushing their caucus and well wishers to vote with tight security.

Even if only 10,000 voters show up in Enugu for example, so long a candidate can get 25% of that 10k voters, then he satisfies the constitutional requirement.

It’s very simple as ABC.

25% of the total vote from the state, not 25% of the total population or registered voters. To me, I do not see any effect their boycotting will have. Even in elections they endorsed, the voters turn out were still abysmally low. Always less than 15%.

Sorry to say o, but the Igbos are not ready for the presidency yet. Political Power is not given, it is taken. You can’t keep ignoring the process and expect to be called upon and bestowed power on.

People from the south will rather criticise Ohanaze for fun and become a slave of the North than reason with Ohaneze. That's same thing the brought Bujari to power in the first place.

If the North succeeds in winning the election in 2023, the south will become a colony of the North. No southerner will ever emerge a president again.

Even if it is 500 votes, it will still count. The last federal constituency election held in Abia state last year, had a voters turn out of 3.24%. Those with the highest votes don resume duties since for National Assembly
