Please, I just need to clarify something: If I open a Dom account, and add it as a payment option on Upwork, do I need to link it through Payoneer or the dollars will go into the Dom account direct, hence no need for Payoneer?

I think it's the latter, but I'm asking to be sure.

You can also do Payoneer to Wise to crypto.com to Binance

It will enter on Monday, calm down. The same thing happened to me last week, I sent money on Friday morning, but it didn't reflect till Monday afternoon.

Nope. If you want to withdraw your fund in dollar, link an ACH account to upwork account.
You can open a dollar account on Grey and link the account to upwork. Withdrawing directly to your local bank from upwork puts you at loss because of the low rate.
Grey dollar to naira rate is 584/$ which is still better
