A law that forms the basis for referendum has to be passed first..and if they decide to make it a constitutional amendment, it is going to take a while

Am not making excuses. I am just telling you to be realistic.

One reason why I did not vote for Bihari was because I knew he won't be able to fight corruption like he did as a millitary ruler.

As a millitary ruler, Bihari brought corrupt leaders in front of tribunals and sentenced them instantly.

As civilian leader? To even bring a corrupt governor to trial he has to be impeached, which can be stymied by a court order, and before you know it time has gone.

Obi cannot just wake up and say he wants referendum. Just as Bihari up till now has not been able to make Sharia the law of the land because he does not have the votes in the Assembly to pass such the necessary amendments.

Scotland that got referendum. It took over 80 years of work to even get to the stage where they had enough seats in parliament to make the necessary alliances to get the required law passed, and the Queen to approve it.
