UK is living on lost glory, but to each their own.
I beg to differ. Now is actually a good time for migrants in the UK due to brexit. Yes higher taxes but thats as a result of earning more. I’ve lived here almost 20years and I have gradually seen the lives of Nigerians especially improve and not via fraudulent means as the old days. Gone are the days when at best you can aspire to be a security man. Now you see a lot of Nigerian immigrants (not born here) in high flying white collar roles. If you doubt me do a quick sample on linkedin. I seen someone on this thread saying you will manage to save £200 a month?? Nonsense. Easily save £3000 - £4000 a month if not for wasteful habits such as expensive designer clothes and going out a lot.

Awesome!

Glad my piece could be of help.

Best wishes.

Congratulations. You have carefully concealed your gender for reasons best known to you. It's okay anyway since that's what you want.

I want to appreciate you for the information you have freely disseminated, especially the way things go when one arrives Heathrow.

I was with my partner at the airport in Lagos in January this year when the UK call came knocking. So I was ardently involved in the process till departure. What happened in Heathrow is what I can't say anything about.

I am also due to relocate and join my partner next week,so the information you shared here has helped a great deal.

Congratulations once again and may we succeed in the Queen's land in Jesus name.

Okay ooo, Mr off-beat.

What difference would it make if I reference my spouse as wife or husband?

Nomenclature and tags are simply for identification. Try expand your thought process about the status quo.

Bros, you get time and power to dey explain give people ooo.

For starters, there's no basis for comparison between the UK and Nigeria. Is it in trade and economy, Per Capital GDP, Infrastructure or Security?

Many Nigerians who speak down on those migrating secretly wish they could leave the country as well.

Just so they know, migration to a developed country is expensive. You'd only need to ask yourself why the middle class who seem to be doing well in Nigeria leave everything to go abroad? There's something they know that average Nigerians can't see.

It's actually none of anyone's concern if a migrant saves 200pcm or 2000 or 20000pcm. In as much as they're living well and law-abiding, they'll fine.

You revel in ambiguity. How about call husband what he is... Husband or Boyfriend what he is... Boyfriend. The word 'Partner' stretches beyond conjugal relationships and as such very odd, unusual and inappropriate for a spouse.

By the way the word 'Partner' has in recent times been adopted by folks in same sex relationships. You either come clean and straight with us or we start pointing fingers at you.

You write like a pro; been a long time since I enjoyed reading anything on naira land, too many mangled English been tossed around here.
Hope you’d work on a creative writing course and try journalism or media over there. Just got started with masters in communication in LASU, planning to apply for a scholarship to the UK or US for a phd in the next 2 years. Best of luck block! I hope you tried the signature fries and fishes; also hope your partner holds you tight, you be fresh meat for those Hot and lonely London mamas and cougars.
