Any idea if an individual can get more than 250k
It's too late. Except if you applied under SME at that time with CAC.

Please house, if you are into business, do well to register your business with CAC immediately without any hesitation. The benefits are enormous. I learnt they now promptly approve applications. Please do.
God bless us all.

Was recently Shortlisted with Baobab, but the stress to start pursuing it will make me abandon everything. I just filled the online form but can't go to their branch yet.

just Curious, I’m wondering why one needs to appear physically for disbursement after opening account with them physically. But why can’t they just credit your account without you having to come again to their branch or what do you think?

Maybe the want you to sign one useless agreement as if you are collecting loan from them. The money is yours from federal government (Nyif) not theirs.

If after today I don’t see any message from Boabab I’ll message them again and this time around I’ll tell them I’m going to post on social media pages and make it trend on Twitter because I don’t undertand why they are giving preference to those that visited their bank physically, now I’ve seen up to 5 people that they’ve called for disbursement and they all went to their branch to open the account (even when they did that just of recent) whereas they are yet to give account number to those that filled the google form. Is it our fault that they don’t have their branch in south or south east ?

This Baobab guys can't be serious. What's this nonsense, so me that stays in Anambra will have to travel down to Lagos twice just to receive loan that's not up to 1m.

Guys we have to do something about this. If it means calling them out on Facebook and Twitter.

Very inconsiderate nonentities.

From Baobab this morning

Re: NYIF Loan Discussion Thread by Tex42(m): 9:52am On May 19, 2022
Just spoke with their call center agent and I was told not to travel to anywhere until I receive the account number from them. She said that I'm only needed physically when for disbursement.

Then I received this sms immediately I dropped the call.

You don’t need to visit any branch. Filled mine online and received a message from them this morning.

This is what we must do. It doesn't make sense to travel to physical branch for disbursement.
The risks are too much. The cost implication is higher than the loan interest rate. We're business people and this is against business ethics.
Thirdly, other banks with same assignments carried it out without any physical appearance. Moreover there are digital ways to achieve that.

Let's call them out, they'll calm down.

Just yesterday 18 military men(Nigeria army) were kidnapped along Kd-abuja road.
These are armed men. Now be risking people's life for 250k and onee bank incompetence.

Just when i was getting ready to go to their branch i received this message. I guess we should be patient a little longer. It's not fair for people coming from very far when it's not their money, if they did it like the very first set it would have been sent to our individual bank account regardless of the bank. No need to stress myself for now since i have received confirmation.

Received this message too, it seems those who visit the branch were responded to faster and have already been called for disbursement. Ours will take longer but i don't really care as long as i receive it.

Having received this message just now, We can all have some patience now. It’s quite obvious we don’t need to go anywhere until we’re called for disbursement. It’s clear they would create an account for us and ask for our presence when disbursement starts

Seems like you guys haven't gotten it yet.
According to them, you'd still have to appear for physical verification before disbursement. Saw it on Facebook.
Today's sms doesn't change that.

Please where did you see that, i checked their Facebook page nothing. Only the replies in some of their old posts telling everyone to "calm down we would be responded to on the next steps blah blah". Everyone is furious about visiting their branch and they haven't made any explicit statement that you have to.

Even if you want to at least get an account number first so you only have to visit once, every single bank on earth can create an account without physical presence. I don't know where FG pick this ancient bank from, wetin join normal human being and Baobab before.

That was someone encounter on Tuesday when she called, but there's nothing explicit from "them" in their Facebook pages. These are some of their replies just yesterday when people complain. You said according to them on Facebook you didn't say according to someone who called them.
