Hello Dear Nairalanders, I have an issue that needs urgent advise. In 2019 I applied through an agent for a work permit visa to Canada. The agent claimed to have a contract with a company in Canada to provide workers. I was shown a job offer with salary, benefits, etc. I accepted but was delayed due to covid-19. Fast forward to 2021 when I was asked by the agent to go for biometrics and medicals, I discovered that my file number started with a V (V for visitor’s visa) and not a W (W for workers permit). That’s when I knew they were fraudulent (promising a work visa while applying for a visitor visa. Now I have a legitimate admission from a university in Canada, this time I did the applications myself but I’m yet to cancel the application for a visitor visa with the agent. I don’t trust the agent to cancel it properly. I’m even worried about what was filled in my application so I ordered a gcms note, I’m yet to get feedback though. I don’t want to get a ban. Please guys what do I do? How do I cancel my application with IRCC hassle free? Thank you in advance for your advise. |

Nitand2:Oh Christ, since you didn't submit fraudulent bank statements, that means the agent possibly tampered with it. |

LANDING GIST Good Afternoon my people. I took the 8:05 am flight from Abuja to London, then London to Toronto using British Airways. I arrived at the airport by 6 am, they didn't let my family in as usual so I proceeded to the check in desk on my own. customs looked through my box of food and cleared me cos I had only dried food. At very step I was asked 'anything for us' but I only dropped in some places. One of my bags was overweight so I had to move things around before I was checked in. I chatted with the check in guys so they let my 23.6kg box fly without paying anything extra. Here they asked for arrive can and passport and I was given my boarding pass. I went back outside to cry and take pictures with my family before going back inside. I went to customs and immigration after filing out the yellow card and they asked how much I'm carrying, I had less than 10k so no issues here. After getting cleared then I went to my boarding gate. We took off at exactly 8;05 am and an hour into the flight they gave us breakfast. It was nice, sausage, eggs, bacon, croissant and all. Then they also gave a sandwich, Juice and coffee later. The plane was very very very cold!! please carry a thick jacket and wear sneakers with thick socks and headworker if you get cold easily. We landed in Heathrow at exactly 2:05 pm and had a 2 hour layover, before boarding here they asked for only passport and boarding pass. and we took off for the 7 hour flight to Toronto. They also served us two sets of snacks (pretzels and juice, then chicken sandwich and coffee) and dinner of mashed potatoes and chicken. We landed by 12;37 Nigerian time but it was 7;37 pm here. Everywhere was bright and shining like 4pm lol. I headed to arrivals, filled the declaration form and declared the foodstuff I was carrying before going to the customs desk. A handsome asian guy attended to me and asked what kind of agricultural produce I had, I told him spices and flour and he cleared me to head to Immigration. At this point my heart was beating but I just kept calm, An imposing slavic guy attended to me and asked me for my acceptance letter and proof of tuition payment. He asked where I will be staying and how long my program is then he printed my study permit and coop work permit, stamped my passport and I was off. Our baggage was unloaded already so I just located my boxes, put them on a trolley and went outside to order an uber. The weather was a bit warm since its spring, it only felt like low AC but I kept my jacket on. Headed to my airbnb and called my people. I hope everyone gets to experience this and I am eternally grateful to this platform for giving me all the information I need to see my dream come true. To those waiting for PPR, it gets depressing and you almost want to give up but no matter how long it takes I believe its amazingly worth it.

Hello house, Good evening to you all. My Canada study permit application was refused around first week of April after waiting for 5 months (November applicant). I ordered for my GCMS notes the next day and it came out last week. Please i need urgent help, explanations and suggestions from you all on how to tackle the reasons for the refusal as i'm preparing to reapply again by May ending or first week in June because my admission is still valid for September 2022. Also i want to know if i should inform my school about the refusal? Or should i just go ahead and reapply again? Attached is the GCMS note with reasons stated by the V.O. for the refusal. Thanks as i await suggestions and options from y'all. It'll end in praise.

I have read through the pages of the FSW,I can't find any information to help me,I really needed practical and not just what I read on the website,I saw that you must have a job offer or know someone in Canada before I can go through PNP, I am confused,I am thinking of just sticking to the FSW,do you have any info you can give me or any link to whoever that gave a detailed explanation of how he or she did it.
