Hey guys. Please I need your honest and mature opinion. I scored 292 in JAMB and i put UNILAG as my first choice for law. Now my problem is this. Everyone, including my school propreitress is advicing me against it. I'm from Imo state based in Abia state. No one wants my JAMB score to go to waste, and i don't blame them. It's not easy. But i don't want to change my institution. UNILAG is the best institution for law and the opportunities seem endless. I just don't know what to do guys, i'm so depressed. Mods please help me push this to front page and please if u guys know anyone that can help my situation, do tell. Thanks and God bless. @ fynestboi please help.

I'm also a jambite like you are confused about choice of uni so my opinion might not really count but I will still give it. One question....how good are you in Mathematics? Unilag's post utme consists of Mathematics like you said.....15 questions out of 40 contains Maths.
Also, your waec is a determining factor cos it's 20% of your aggregate. Your waec must be full of As and Bs.
Lastly, as you're not from catchment it might be dicey. Cos the difference between the cut off for Merit and Catchment is like 3-4 points. Merit cut off is usually ridiculously high. Can you beat it??
If you have your waec results now, calculate your aggregate to know what you need to get in your post utme.

honestly, i'm not good in math at all. And i'm still writing waec so i can't sum up the aggregate thing. I think i'll just have to change my institution, though it pains my heart so much...

You have a good score. Your hometown doesn't matter as far as UI is concerned, strictly on merit.
Try and score 75+ in the post utme and considered yourself admitted.
You shall be doing the same subjects you did in UTME
