Benzema Uses Tupac Reference To Describe Kylian Mbappe's Betrayal by naijaclass(m): 11:42am On May 22, 2022 |
The level of betrayal Karim Benzema is feeling from Kylian Mbappe is quite palpable, especially after the recent Tupac Shakur reference on the Real Madrid striker's Instagram stories. All Madridista players feel betrayed by the young French striker but none of them more than Benzema. For years, he had been grooming the star to someday play beside him at Real Madrid and he responded in the least expected possible manner. Countless public statements and gestures of complicity were directed towards the player who seems destined to become the best in the world quite soon. Benzema tried everything possible in order to convince him and it served no purpose. In the end, Kylian Mbappe did what his family and he wanted without measuring the level of consequence this can bring him in the long run. He forgets there's a World Cup coming up where he will need to get cozy with Karim, and France is no stranger to dressing room drama throughout their history. We can already imagine how much Benzema will get on Mbappe's face when they meet, what he did was completely unacceptable. Kylian will have to offer an explanation because Benzema feels utterly betrayed right now, as he showed in his most recent Instagram story. The picture he posted was a direct knock at his national team buddy, a hip-hop culture reference that is part of history now. Why did Benzema reference Tupac Shakur? In the picture he posted on Instagram Stories, Benzema dropped an image of Tupac Shakur shaking hands with actor Stephen Baldwin. At first glance, people who don't know hip-hop culture will be puzzled by the image. But those who are aware of it will realize that the attentions shouldn't be on Baldwin. The man behind Tupac who is looking straight at the camera is the "friend" who allegedly betrayed Pac and ultimately got him killed. It is a clear reference to how betrayed Benzema feels by Mbappe, and how much mending the PSG star will have to do if he wants to have a comfortable World Cup experience in Qatar. What do you think of this reaction from Benzema? Is it warranted? 36 Likes 4 Shares

Benzema would do the same. The money being offered was too tempting. Who even knows wether Mbappe was using Madrid advances to him as a leverage for a jumbo pay from the start? 439 Likes 14 Shares |

As a Real Madrid fan, I am disappointed that we didn't get to sign him (and also gave up on haaland as a side effect). But from the rumored terms of the PSG agreement, you can't really fault him for choosing PSG. While the money is absurd, the rumored sporting side where he has power and influence on manager, signings and even sporting director is also key to the agreement. Football fans always argue that PSG is all oil money and never had history, but do understand that history has to start somewhere. PSG has the financials backing but sporting decision wise i think they can definitely improve. Klopp's Liverpool, Guardiola's City took time to establish the stability they have now. Think of it this way, you are looking for a job, there is 2 offers for you, one from an established big company giving you a nice salary (This company do also have some problems within too, but our season's end success tends to "plaster" cover them up.), the other one from a start up with financial backings, they offer you a nicer salary but they also value you to the extend that they involve you when they want to make a decision with the direction and decision that the company make (And freaking hell, the country's president is here too). Take away the affiliations to clubs you love or hate, which choices would you make? Do consider that Mbappe is only 23 years old, by the end of the contract he would only be 26 years old. Time is still on his side, if PSG turns out to be successful in this 3 years (Luis Ocampos is quite the guy if you see what happened to Monaco and Lille), he would have created history with the club and still can move abroad, if he doesn't, then monetary side isn't really a concern for his future contract (as long as he does not demand future clubs to offer similar packages). 94 Likes 7 Shares |

With the amount of money Mbappe will make, with the much respect and power he has in PSG, who be benzema for where the small boy dey? Be like you want make Mbappe vex sign you. How can a player feel betrayed because another player chose to renew his contract with his club rather than move to their own club? Make Madrid no go find player, dey there dey feel betrayed because a club doesn’t want their player to go. Imagine Real Madrid complaining of what PSG is doing. You paved the way for them during your Galacticos era. Showing that spending absurd money can create a brand and bring success. Now you’re just mad you’re no longer the largest fish in the pond and teams can easily outspend you. 156 Likes 8 Shares |

There is no loyalty in football, fuucck loyalty. We can see it from the way Madrid treated Raul, Cassilas and Ronaldo. Everyone has a price and what money cannot buy, more money can buy it. Madrid don't realize it's no longer the 90's and the early 2000s when they were almost the only super team. Now very many other teams have caught up; Mbappe can still achieve his dreams outside of PSG with clubs like City, Bayern and Liverpool. Mbappe just made himself a fortune and at the same time made himself a darling of the French people. 34 Likes 2 Shares |

Why People forsake their growth, dreams, etc for money still baffles me Take a look at the Tinubu urchins on Nairaland for example. To them, it's all about the stipends they make now i.e pre-election. Their future and that of their children isn't their problem. The country can rot for all they care. Amyway, Mbappe has made his choice. All the best to him. 10 Likes |

The youngman played Madrid, and may have burnt bridges along the line. As a young professional footballer still developing, it is not always ideal to play a risky game like he did. You don't give your word to a big club like Madrid, and then turn back to betray them. PSG got no history as Madrid--that's a statement of fact! For all those cheering him on, we will find out in a matter of years how good or bad a decision he has taken on snubbing Madrid. Madrid waited for him, and may have snubbed [Halla] for him; but what did they get in return? 11 Likes |

I don't know how legit the news is, I guess he will still join real madrid this summer. Because when french media reported that he extended his contract with psg for another 3 years. Mbappe’s mother outrightly declined it. And he has so many times told that playing for real madrid id his childhood dream. 1 Like |

Funny how Agbaya Benzema still never understand it's every man for himself. in 10yrs to come, he'd realize Mbappe made the right choice. In football, there's never loyalty, players come, players go. You keep the train moving. Nobody send your papa! 7 Likes |

Nonsensical nonsense. So he now owes loyalty to Benzeama? Over what exactly? Mbape is not a kid anymore. He knows what is good for him. His new contract will run till 2025, so Benzeama should deal with it. 6 Likes
