Joe Biden Gives A Pen To George Floyd's Daughter After Historic Executive Order by God1000(op): 3:29pm On May 26, 2022*

US president Joe biden on Wednesday signed an executive order that he said would bring more accountability and effectiveness to policing and criminal justice system on the second anniversary of the murder of George Floyd, a black Minneapolis resident, by white police officer

It is a measure of what we can do together to heal the very soul of this nation, Biden said, to address profound fear and trauma, exhaustion that particularly black Americans have experienced for generations and a channel of private pain and public outrage into a rare marker of progress for years to come.

The executive order creates a national database that logs police misconduct, strives for thorough, timely and stronger investigations, mandates body camaras, bans chokeholds and carotid restraints.
Restricts use of no-Knock entries by police and sets up new standards, among other things.

The executive orders are directives US presidents use to manage operations of the federal government.

US legislators had last year failed to agree on a new law aimed at police reform called George Floyd justice in policing Act, so this law applies only to federal agencies.

I just like this man, republicans are his stumbling block.

President Biden is a great leader, he's a unifying figure, he's trying his best to address the systemic racism in US.

He embraces everybody regardless of race, gender and creed.
He doesn't believe that some people are subhumans or small fry

I remember him telling Americans to reject the poison of white supremacy last week in the city of buffalo New York after the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of ten African Americans by a white supremacist.

I don't know why some Nigerians despise him, anybody that doesn't like this man should do serious self introspection.
