I just lost my phone to a thief and as a sensible human being the first thing on my mind is to block the ussd access to my account on the Sim because I only use ussd for online banking.
I have been going through all possible avenue to reach this useless bank since morning from Their useless Leo chat to emails to trying to call thier customer care none of the is going through,I called thier customer Care and they kept me waiting for more than 20minutes yet they didn't pick up.

Guys what else can I do.
One thing is sure,after today I'll make sure everyone I know stay far away from this useless bank

All these banks are almost thesame in terms of poor service delivery. If I start complain to you about Fidelity Bank, u go help me cry

Why are this useless banks allowed to behave like This and useless cbn is not doing anything about it

First Bank, GTB, Polaris Bank has good customer service delivery. I suggest you give either of these banks a try.

And they'll just be charging customers randomly knowing fully well we ain't gana do nofin about it than to murmur and move on. since CBN no dey tell dem anything

There should be a ussd code for automatic blockage of debit transaction from the account, google it.
And also why didn't you activate your pincode lock on your sim card? So if the thief remove your sim from your smartphone to insert in another, the sim will still require the pin code.

Though it's better you block your card to have peace of mind,but if your ATM PIN has not been compromised be rest assured no one can take out money from your account.
With just ATM card only,no body can empty another person's account,forget all these people that come with tales that they lost their ATM cards and their money was withdrawn.They must have given someone their pin deliberately or accidentally.
For eg,despite losing your card,have you received any debit alert till now if it's that easy?

The USSD code for blocking a UBA ATM card is *919*911#.....The USSD for freezing a UBA bank account on phone is *919*9#....
