Yes we all have had to deal with This at one point or the other with most churches clearly stating that once you're within the church premises you should either turn off or put your phone on silent, but still sometimes we forget and it can be pretty embarrassing to have your phone ringing out loud during service in full glare of the congregation especially if you have a somewhat funny ringtone or a circular song with lyrics that can cause a stir when listened to.

So have you ever been in such a situation and how did you manage it?

I wonder what is so special in our phones that we can't switch it off, put it on silent or even leave it at home so we can fully concentrate in church service. But we speedily switch it off for hours when going in for business meetings. We are deceiving, disgracing and disrespecting ourselves

We leave our phones on because these calls sometimes are business calls which brings us money which makes us pay good tithes, offerings, donations etc which brings us respect from pastors.

What nonsense is these for God sake on Sunday, so this one suppose to be Christian post or what mockery is this, no preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is rubbish non-profitable and non-essentials we are seeing, yet for Muslims on Fridays, it always ruling on this and that which is about teaching their Islamic teachings

Not nice. Priest for my church go just embarrass you.
I'd rather leave my phone at home, than allow it ring out in the church.

Isn't it of greater importance the issue of who is worshipped in a church?

Which "jesus" is worshipped in your 'church'?

Is it the "jesus" your pastors issue decrees and commands to or the Jesus of the Bible: God, the Son, Lord of lords and King of kings?

One thing I believe this God is that he can return every call's back, when my phone is switched off in his presence when am done.

I've always been cautious of this. I don't like attracting unnecessary attention.

Lol. If you're religious, it's good. But accept enlightenment with it. Even pastors keep thier phones on, who expect calls from snr pastors and guest preachers and some pastors who are bringing news of promotion to snr pastor cadre to them

Some contract/appointment calls are promised for sunday mornings. The same appointment letter you've been praying and fasting about. Ignorance can make you loose it.

No, before entering the Church, I switch off. If I m expecting a call, I put it on vibration

Christains teach d gospel and not unnecessary talks. Most churches these days be like club house with heavy woofer speakers mounted at all four corners of the church. How u wan even take pic call hear?
When i used to attend church way back. I always stay outside or try to sit at the back near d exit door.. My phone is on vibration... I read messages sometime and bible verses but i dont pick calls except urgent one as a business man i move out.


I bet some comments here are even commenting from church
