Former Liverpool, Juventus and PSG midfielder Mohamed Sissoko believes the Bianconeri should make a move for Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.

Juventus could be in the market for a top striker this summer after informing Alvaro Morata they will not make his loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent.

In Juventus' search for a strike partner for Dušan Vlahović, Sissoko has recommended Osimhen to the Serie A giants, saying the Napoli star fits the bill.

Napoli's asking price for the Nigerian, believed to be in excess of 100 million euros, could be the stumbling block to a potential deal, considering that Juve are not willing to pay 35 million euros for Morata despite the Spaniard having a good season.

When asked who he would take as Vlahović's strike partner if Morata were to leave, Sissoko told ilBiancoNero : "Victor Osimhen without a doubt.

"He is the right player for Juve, there are other young and strong players but Osimhen is devastating.

"I hope that Juve will have a strong player and be a champion."

Osimhen was named the best U23 player in the Serie A in the recently concluded season on the back of his spectacular goalscoring form for Napoli.

Nigerian players gain promotion to the Portuguese Top Flight

Obiora Nwankwo gained promotion with GD Chaves to the Portuguese Primeira Liga Bwin today. He played all 90mins.

His side lost 1-0 but they had finished the job in the first leg with a 2-0 win over Moreirense thus securing Promotion via playoff in a 2-1 aggregate win.

Savior Godwin and Kelechi John Christian had already secured automatic Promotion with Casa Pia to the Liga Bwin courtesy of their finishing 2nd in the 2nd tier (Portuguese Liga Pro).

They all join Zaidu (Porto), Abbas Ibrahim (Pacos de Ferreira), Emmanuel Maviram (Vizela), and Friday Etim (Vizela) in the Portuguese topflight.

Congrats lads.

Ehn!

So this Obiora of a Nwankwo is still in the scene. Men? I used to dislike this guy earlier in his career.

Welcome back lad. It is all love.

Some throw backs. 2017.

TheGoodJoe:
It seems you did not watch Emeka Okafor who kept for Siasia in the 2009 WYC. That one earned a place in my worst Nigerian goalie.

Most connected player goes to Obiora Nwankwo.

2015

TheGoodJoe:
Imagine Obiora Nwankwo that Coach Keshi dropped at the AFCON, resurfacing in Oliseh's squad. A player playing in the lower league of Portugal.

The same boy Siasia used to bench Ibrahim Rabiu at the U20 World Cup. When Siasia gave Rabiu a chance, Rabiu scored and Siasia punished him for scoring by benching him immediately after the goal.

Oliseh is jonsing.

2013: Can't get the link.
thegoodjoehunt:
Which obiora nwankwo? The one that nearly killed us at the Nations Cup and Coach Keshi dropped like a terrible wife who can't cook. Please that guy should not near the team. He is one of the reason Bale is over hyped. Everyone blamed Maicon in the Inter vs Tottenham match but forgot obiora was to help him stop Bale. Man that guy is terrible.

He was worse than Haruna Lukman at the U20 world cup.

2013
thegoodjoehunt:

I'll say it again, obiora is very slow, he also came in against Cape Verde. I hope Coach Keshi leaves that boy out.

Also, Mikel is not good at tackling, that is bot part of the game, if Ogude goes forward, who shields our defenders.

By the way, Siasia dropped Ibrahim Rabiu, one of the stars expected for U20 World Cup for obiora nwankwo and it cost us in that tourney.

obiora nwankwo is warming the bench at the Serie B. How did Coach Keshi find himV It is clear that there is someone big paying money and pulling strings to get that boy playing time.

Mark my words, if Coach Keshi starts that boy in any of this group stage matches, it will cost us the game.

https://www.nairaland.com/1170530/player-rating-nigeria-vs-burkina/3#13969840

Then Keshi dropped him and the rest was history.

looks like Dessers and Iwobi are made for each other. A Muller-Lewandoski kinda partnership.

They should be paired going forward. That's the biggest positive i saw from this highlight. Peseiro also have a job on this middle. The Mexican wingers barely had time to dribble. Just midfield spotting run ins and positioning that can hurt. If we can get something like that instead of wingers dancing always with no end product, it would help. Happy to see Iwobi back.
