I don't do my analysis on sentiment, Osinbajo is the surest for apc,Obi is going to have the majority vote in the south east, so onu is of no relevance.
If you can be honest, which region and religion do you belong to?

At least, that tells us whether or not you are being sentimental. As for me, I am a freethinker and from the Southeast. So, how am I being sentimental for suggesting a Lawan / Onu ticket?

Nobody is saying that Obi won't get majority votes over Onu. That is not in contention. The point is, with Onu, the APC is sure of 25% votes in the SE. The party certainly has structures in Southern Nigeria, and won't fold it arms.

As it is, the only sure aspirant in the apc that will beat Atiku in the apc is Osinbajo, reason been that PYO is the only aspirant that is acceptable in all the six geo political zones in the country, you will be amazed that Osinbajo has more support in the middle belt more than any support he enjoys in his region of South West, also the work he has put in for many months have began to manifest, his candidate won in benue, oyo and adamawa for the governorship to the surprise of many, but for the people that follow him were not surprised anyway. As for the primary coming up, Osinbajo is going to win, because the party knows he is the only that can guarantee victory, let me talk a little bit about other aspirants, and their weaknesses, Asiwaju no doubt is a big politician any day any time, but he miscalculated, he was hoping on southern candidates for both apc and pdp base on the clamour at that time, so he did not bother himself to allign much with the SS and SE also with the Christian communities of the Middle belt, his calculation was that once pdp gives her ticket to either a ss or se person, he will surely have an upper hand in his region of sw and also do very well in the nw and ne, which normally would have guaranteed victory for him but with Atiku as the pdp candidate now, Tinubu wil need new strategy.

Ahmed lawan candidacy wil not fly, because Buhari is about to finish his two term regime under apc, it is impossible for apc to give another northerner her ticket, also Lawan cannot defeat Atiku, one, because they are from the same region of NE and everyone knows Atiku is stronger than him in the NE, Atiku and Kwankwaso will do very well too in the NW, the NC wil be divided among the aspirants, so coming to the south, he will not do well at all no matter whom he picks as his running mate, I trust the south westerners they will not vote for him, the south east has Obi and the south south will be shared depending on whom Atiku picks as his running mate, so lawan will not fly.

Amaechi is another candidate that might do well if given the ticket but his problem is that he has no political base at home and his region, but if he has the support of the president he might be able to put up some fight, but that does not guarantee a victory against Atiku.

with due respect to all other aspirants I did not mention their names, even if Buhari endorses them and they pick up the ticket for the apc, they will not be able to defeat Atiku.

Osinbajo is the only candidate, that will win very well in SW, and also likely win the SS and not do badly in the SE, he will win in the North Central, he will not do badly in the North East because of some Christian population there, he will not do badly in the North West because apc controls most states there and also because if Buhari, so in all, Osinbajo will likely win 4 regions, either will like it or not, religion and ethinicty still play a big part in our politics in nigeria, and I guess these are going to be of advantage to Osinbajo, no wonder he is a movement in the christain dominated states of plateau, benue, Taraba etc.
and who told u we accepted him huh Greedy afonja pushing afonja agenda, igbo presidency or we give it to North shikinq

I am a yoruba man and also a Christain, but if you study the yorubas very well , you will understand they respect their culture more than the religion that is why in every Yoruba home, there is always a mixture of both religion and they live happily together. Moreover , I didn't base my assessment on those two factors of religion and tribe, but instead I base it on reality on ground.

Good morning, do you believe that they can convince their Northern people as you said? If you were in MKO stadium last Saturday, you won't contemplate what you just said; please i want to ask: have you been in the North, have you live here (North)? Let me remind you that in 2019, PMB lost the entire Abj and even inside Villa.

The best bet APC have is BAT+Federal might in order to win 2023 presidential election, BAT without the Federal might, APC will still lose.
What exactly is federal might? You want a Fulani president to help rig in a Yoruba man ? You guys are dreaming

Tinubu can not March atiku in the north, and SE are likely not to vote Tinubu cos of his greedy betrayal while some part of ss will follow se, other parts will vote base on atiku running mate..

So I don't see how Tinubu can defeat atiku, anyway his frog eyes will open after primaries...
The reason we are talking about the north deciding the Presidency is because of lack of political co-operation between the Eastern and Western Nigeria. This is because of history of mistrust between the two large groups. With all the name callings of Fulani/Hausa by these two groups,If presented with opportunity of having both Hausa and Igbo on the ballot the Yoruba will vote Hausa.Likewise if confronted with similar scenario of Hausa and Yoruba on the ballot box,Igbos will never vote Yoruba. So,it’s a win win for the North.Igbos will vote Hausa, not for love but to spite Yoruba!
The Igbos are quick to call Yoruba, slaves of the North, you then wonder who the slaves are!
The main aim of politicians is to win elections. They will only present who they think can win for them.Nigeria stands on a tripod and elections can be won where any of the two legs stand.
How can you possibly reap from where you did not sow!The Igbos want the APC to give them the presidential ticket when they are not really APC region! They are accusing Tinubu and other south westerners of betrayal for not stepping down for them. These are people that have laboured for the party for years.I wonder why it’s difficult for them to negotiate in PDP that they have been voting since 1999.
I expect a lot of backlash as usual from this piece.
I’m not a fan of Tinubu but he is going to be the flag bearer of APC.He is the only one that can match Atiku.Any other person will be landslide victory for Atiku.PDP is hoping and praying that APC makes that mistake.

So what’s the greedy betrayal of Tinubu towards SE? What about the Atiku your delegates from SE voted for? Your delegates are betrayers as well as Atiku. Your SE hates Tinubu because he helped Buhari to vote out Jonathan who was the benefactor of some of your greedy politicians under him at the time.
Great post. You stated the facts exactly as they are. The Ibos hate Tinubu because Tinubu helped Buhari to chase out Jonathan. Jonathan was seen as an Ibo president and the Southeasterners took tremendous advantage at that time to change things to favour themselves!

Sir,how do you arrive at your assessments?
Has Osinbajo ever contested any election?
He was a mere commissioner!

How deep could the relationship he has built be when he only attained national prominence by virtue of his being the VP through the benevolence of Tinubu who he is contesting against!

Someone(Tinubu) with a long track record of building bridges across the nation with several politicians across the nation who can attest to their long term relationship!

So Sir,can you say Osinbajo has this attribute?

No one can take the fact of been a big politician away from Tinubu, he is also instrumental in the coming of many politicians today including Buhari, Osinbajo etc, but when it comes to the general election, this is a different thing because you have to consider so many factors, hence my conclusions. Once they give Tinubu's ticket, Atiku should just go and write his acceptance speech and start celebration of his victory in advance. APC is in precarious position now, but their best bet is Amaechi who the north will vote based on continuity of infrastructure . SS and SE will vote him and SW will grudgingly vote him except Tinubu's faction.
With PMB'S and northern support and the case for unity of Nigeria Amaechi will defeat Atiku in North
Do you even know that Amaechi lacks political grounds and structure in both SE and SS..Wike and Udom has already tamed and reduced Ameachi popularity and SS..Amaechi cannot win a governorship election in River again let alone presidency.

Wike is the only person that can help Atiku win this election. Wike did it in Edo state.

Wike is an asset, Atiku shouldn't make any mistake picking any other person aside Wike.
But Wike is a strong man. Atiku might be afraid of Wike pulling the rug from under his feet o. Everyone wants a submissive vice like Namadi Sambo, Goodluck and Osinbajo.
