I was watching live via phone and I saw some rockets and missiles at the Navy and army sections... Man it's sad to realize that we were better armed in the 70s than we are currently

Those are SeaCats air defence missiles. Almost everyone had them in the 80s. They are thoroughly outdated now.

I would say same size as the big sister of Kada - the LST 120

Those are SeaCats air defence missiles. Almost everyone had them in the 80s. They are thoroughly outdated now.

That's why they have been put up on display at the museum as part of our military history.

It's the last National Public Holiday for the CiC if they don't honor him then then I don't see another opportunity cause KDF Day is on 14 October, The end of his 2nd term is one month b4 that.

KDF's Landing ships are not sufficient enough they are forced to seek additional services from a locally built civilian landing craft to transport vehicles between Kismayu/Somalia and Kenya

a replenishment ship is more like an aerial tanker but for ships its used to refuel and resupply logistics to ships in the sea A LST can't actually do that
While the LST can perform beach landing i really don't think the Amphibious assault ships can instead deploys its Amphibious platforms midway Also they tend to perform as an aircraft carrier for helos and VTOL aircraft like Harriers and F35Bs
So yeah they're pretty much different
