Now I was to summit a complaint to the police and have him arrested, if he doesn't pay, then I am ready to pursue it in court.

Please lawyers in the house, is there any way his kidnapping case will affect my own case? I know he may start saying that he hasn't paid because he was kidnapped. I just want to be prepared...
