Ice Block Makers, How So You Cope With Poor Power Supply? by Agbalagbi2013: 10:28am On Jun 05, 2022 |
I have invested almost N2 million naira on ice block business in Ibadan (2 big machines and 15KVA generator) just to augment the family income. But as lucrative as the business seems, poor power supply has been the albatross. Using N700 per litre diesel 8s out of it. In fact I sometimes doubt the purchase of the generator as a good decision. Fellow investors in the ice block and drink business, how have you been doing it? Because I still see ice block and drinks all around Ibadan. Pls help a brother. Useful suggestions are welcome. Deduct diesel cost from your daily accruals na. You don't want to spend money Abi? The average block seller uses diesel at least 10-30k per day. There's no alternative. 1 Like 1 Share |

okete: Please can you kindly share it here for all of us? I'm also involved in the business, but electricity is affecting me badly. Or should I also send you message on WhatsApp for insights? 1 Like 1 Share |

oguns222:Are you an ice block maker too? Pls share your experience here. Here in Ibadan (Alakia) it's terrible. Sometimes no light for 2 straight weeks. Sometimes we put on the generator for a few hours to cool pure water so as to create a little traffic. But it always end in a loss because the profit on pure water is not enough to cater for the cost of diesel ⛽ 2 Likes 1 Share |
