Depending on parts you want to sell. Before 800k-1million can start the business comfortably but now you need like #1.2million- #1.5 million to start small

Thanks brother,mine is engine parts and leg part for Japanese, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Nissan.
I had Serve Oga in Peugeot line for 4yrs bfr,but I have interest in Japanese model now more than Peugeot.
I just finished my school,so want to go back to the field.
I'm still searching for were I can learn Japanese models for 1 or 2 yrs bfr venturing.

Since you have learnt Peugeot parts, switching to Japanese will be now easy; 1 year at most.

there is nothing like consultant in this business.

the day one China man came to my father shop to buy spare part for their company car.... the China man even though he was an engineer was confused. we have to help him buy those goods.

Please I have a little confusion. I have been thinking of venturing into auto spare parts trading. I am currently a salaried employee who doesn't have any free time except on weekends. I intend to start this business and employ someone to run it. When the business starts moving fine, I will resign from my work and come and take over the business fully.
What is your take on this? What are the pros and cons?
Number two: I just started learning this business. During weekends, I go to a friend's shop who deals in this business and try to learn one or two things.
I thought it would be very easy since I have been driving car for years but I was surprised. This guy sells Japanese. How do you differentiate between similar parts of different vehicles? I was expecting that manufacturers would write on the packet the name and model of the vehicle that uses that particular part. But they don't. The guy said that by looking at the parts and the shape, you will know the vehicle that uses it. That can be very frustrating.
Please how do new apprentices get over this?

First of all, the worst mistake you will make is handing a brand new business for someone to manage. The person will chop you raw. It is better you start the business yourself and run it. When the business start gaining grounds, you put someone there. Keep on working and saving, once your money become big, quit once and for all.

Secondly, you see why it is important to learn the business before starting your own. They are many things you will still learn apart from knowing the parts. Differentiating spare parts will be your major challenge at least for the first 2 months. With time even when they wake u up from sleep, you can tell any parts by mere looking at it. Just keep on looking at parts when they come. Just start with knowing names of parts and where they are located inside in a vehicle. With time you will start telling difference between parts, how to identify original and different cars models.

Third: Once you have learnt the business very well probably after 8 months, you will start seeing small small money even without owing a shop via oso afia way.

Motor parts is gold mine just know parts very well.
