Zikojukwu:You Igbos really surprises a lot. You expect Tinubu's supporters to vote for your Peter Obi after insulting Tinubu and his people. |

AlexBells:I'm just saying this your spin on Obi's journey to Egypt as against his going to Ekiti is weak. As one aspiring to lead a nation, that nation should be his constituency. Afraid to go to an area he intends ruling ![]() The times Bubu refused to campaign in the east, he did not win. When he campaigned there in 2015 he won at federal level even if he did not win in the east. In summary, all I'm trying to say is, it is better to keep quiet than spoil your candidate's chances with unprofessional(ill-conceived) write ups. I come in peace.

dat9jaguy:You can just lie for Africa bubu that chose an Igbo earlier but did not win, the fact he understood the East was not for him, the better, Obi knows Ekiti in the majority is not for him |

Gbengajans:Why did Atiku not go? Abi is PDP not in Ekiti? Ekiti is an APC stronghold. Why would a presidential aspirant go there knowing that defeat is eminent. That will score a major point for APC. |

All these funny apc urchins.. Barely 1 month that peter obi join LP they want him to come and flex muscle with them in ekiti, what a shallow thinking.. Peter obi might not even no the LP governorship candidate in ekiti self.. And besides many of those supporting obi are doing so because they believe in him not his party.. I may vote for PDP or APC in my state and still vote for obi for president.. Why are they not dragging atiku? Are other parties presidential aspirants also in ekiti to support their governorship candidates? Why singling obi out? obi have automatically become their major opposition that they are now trying to flex muscle with him.. |

AlexBells:If morale damping is the reason why Obi ran away to Egypt then he's not qualify to be Nigeria president. Obi should be a self motivator that would carry the burden of unemployed youth, the hopeless citizen and the dying pensioners if he chose to be the president. He probably lacks the vital quality of leadership such that was displayed by Tinubu when every odds didn't favour him. He still pull his stunt to become the flag bearer at the 11rh hour to the consternation of his enemies. Let Obi face his challenges and not flee at the rumour of crises |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by dat9jaguy(m): 11:13pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
AlexBells:The thing is Bubu campaigned in the east, even if he did not win there. As a presidential candidate you should visit all parts of your constituency, in this case all parts of Nigeria. You are only airing your own opinion. This can never any serious politian's excuse for a situation like this.

Ttalk:Why didn't Tinubu come to south East, you don't just visit a strong opponent's stronghold that way, if he is in Ekiti now and there is a physical fight between him and Tinubu, do you think Obi would make it out of there alive. The thing with some of you is that yih only think basic politics his safety and morale is at stake and get won't gain much from that but instead he chose to distract his loyalist by giving them what to talk about instead of letting the news of the Ekiti defeat overwhelm. Ekiti is not not his target even if Obi is selling long life and prosperity he won't quite succeed these because there are people willing to sacrifices even their life, politics is strategic |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by AlexBells(op): 11:16pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
dat9jaguy:Was Obi not in the West yesterday, was he not at the MKOs the thing is you are inciting him to a clash that where defeat is eminent he can't visit fortified enemy territory abeg |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by dat9jaguy(m): 11:26pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
AlexBells:I guess he would not be campaigning in the northeast because that is also 'enemy' territory (Atiku and Bokoharam). That's 2 regions out of 6. A serious presidential candidate o. Abeg you are doing this guy more harm than good.

AlexBells:It's not always about winning in states where you are not popular, it's about supporting your party and party candidates, it's about building and generating grass root support and infrastructure for future elections, it's about your party, no about you and what you can win or not win If Obi can not do Party work, party activities or support the party, he shouldn't have joined any party because right now, he's useless, he's redundant and of no use to the Labor Party or even any party. The world doesn't revolve around you and just you, always think about other people I don't know why the SE play upsidedown politics, must be part of their DNA. This is why they lose all the time. |

AlexBells:Lol, does Tinubu know your existence that he doesn't worth your time? |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by AlexBells(op): 11:39pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
KoshCAD:Tinubu knows that I exist, he is politician and he understand the power of 1 vote, I have a vote, I will keep dangling it in his face, Emi lokan. baba na my vote oo lol, I don't even know he exist |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by dat9jaguy(m): 11:40pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
AlexBells:And what they are doing there now is eating jollof rice abi no be gubernatorial campaign? You are painting your candidate as a coward that is dreaming of being handed the presidency on a platter of gold. Go to places, break new frontiers, build bridges, connect with the people you intend ruling not cherry picking places you would go and then expect people to take you serious. Like I said, you are exposing your candidate to ridicule with this kind of defense.

dat9jaguy:Connect with who lol, Oga say whatever you want it is not time for Obi to be in Ekiti, this is the very wrong time. He won't be there, he is in far away Egypt and it such a win you sre talking about him instead of focusing in your governorship election, what about other 16 parties, if they showed up their absolute business, Obi is not coming abeg |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by XerXers: 11:44pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
OP is making sense. If obi campaign in ekiti they will interpreted the election as Tinubu vs obi when it's obvious Tinubu has upper hand. After the election they will say "obi has lost" Forget story, obi is a strategist |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by KoshCAD: 11:44pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
AlexBells:He knows you exists hahahahaha. Even obi does not know you exist. |

| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by AlexBells(op): 11:50pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
dat9jaguy:I'm making him popular by distracting myself from the Ekiti news, we are strategic it is fun when you leave your Ekiti election to be discussing Obi as if labour party was an opposition in Ekiti, not even PDP is trending but Obi snd labour |
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by dat9jaguy(m): 11:57pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
AlexBells:The 1 minute I use in thinking your matter is distraction? Well Mr distraction, serious campaigners attract people not distract.
|
| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by AlexBells(op): 11:59pm On Jun 14, 2022 |
dat9jaguy:What sometimes you use the distraction tactics to keep your loyal base from focusing on the victory on the enemy zone, well Ekiti is supposed to be your little victory party but you are not even celebrating lol |

Uteghe:The moment Kanu and his men started killing their own people, they lost the support of their people. It was a glimpse into the dictatorial mindset of Kanu. Such a mind set is alien to the Igbos who are an acepholous people. |

I was a bit upset when I heard that Obi travelled to Egypt, instead of Ekiti. However, I was comforted when I heard about Ekiti Governorship candidate supporting APC candidate. That's a good strategy. A good fighter picks his fight. Do not go into fight when it's obvious you are not going to win. Obi would have demarketed himself if he campaign for a man you are sure will get less that 10% of vote cast. Many analysts will attribute the gubernatorial candidate poor showing to Obi's presence, and consequently saying Ekiti people has already rejected Obi, by rejecting his choice candidate. |

| Re: Strategic Retreat: Obi Made The Right Choice By Not Going To Ekiti by pacesetting: 8:41am On Jun 15, 2022 |
Transcriber:Because Nigeria is a multi-party system. The two most important things here: 1. INEC recognizes it 2. He has the trust and support of millions of Nigerians In terms of structure, that will eventually come. Remember that PDP and ANPP were the two major parties in 1999. APC only came after two structureless parties merged together barely a year before the elections. Now, APC is the ruling party. |

Most Igbos suffer from "messiah hunger" for the fun of it. So they make messiah out of the worst very fast, then dump them with same speed. Where's Kanu today? Check under the bus.
