But from my point of view. Even if Nigeria has a higher defence budget than South Africa, South Africa's military is more mordern and well equipped than he Nigerian army. Case in study is India and South Korea. My take no hard feelings.

In what way, shape or form is the SANDF more modern than the Nigerian military for Christ's sake?

The Nigerian military regularly fights in a combined arms environment with Drones, Aircrafts, Artillery and Operations command sharing and distributing information in real time.

The Nigerian military has more Main Battle Tanks, more Ships, More Artillery systems, More UCAVs, more ISR aircrafts, the Nigerian Air Force has an availability rate of 80% , we have conducted more military operations outside our country.

-Olifant Mk1b and Mk2 are by definition 3rd gen tanks as they have composite armour and have computer stabilised fire control systems... So yeah we have over 190 3rd generations mbts

- no why would we have Super Tucanos if we have Rooivalk?

- we have Seeker 400s

- T5-52 as well as upgraded G6 which is the longest firing 155mm SPHs in the world. And the G5 is one of the(if not thee) longest firing towed 155mm howitzer in the world... All linked to linkza of course

- SAN has never had an lst in its history since we don't need one.... What we do need is a LHD.

- even current SAS Protea has seen extensive upgrades throughout her life... However as you very well know our new Hydrographic vessel is being delivered next year.
