Of course, PDP is afraid of that. As is the Labor Party and everyone who would not want the Iragbiji man as President.

Due to the religious and ethnic bigotry in the North, a Christian Northerner as Tinubu's candidate would provide the ammunition for PDP's campaign on BBC hausa and VOA Hausa. The religion of Tinubu's wife and his VP candidate would be made very prominent which will make Tinubu lose votes. When you couple that with Tinubu's reputation as a laissez faire Muslim, you can see how that would affect his chances in the election.

For the Lagos landlord to maximize his chances of winning, he has to pick a Northern muslim.

Note: I think Tinubu is the worst candidate in the race.

Asiwaju is a Muslim and ordinarily represents the Muslim divide. Why then the insistence that yet another Muslim would have to pair with him? The reason is simple: Asiwaju does not represent the Muslim North. Put differently, the core Northern Muslims do not believe that Asiwaju represents them from a religious perspective.

The current APC federal government has played up religion as a high negative energy to divide the country like never before. That is why the Christian divide will not ignore the Muslim-Muslim ticket this time around even though a block in the APC North led by El Rufai strongly believes  it does not matter.

Furthermore, the Muslim-Muslim ticket kite they fly also suggests that the APC Christian political leaders of the North have no electoral value. It is really surprising that among the APC Northern Christian leaders, none is considered qualified enough to pair up with Tinubu to respect and maintain the delicate religious balance in the country. To the likes of El Rufai, men like Boss Mustafa, a fine gentleman with an unblemished record and currently Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) is unqualified.

It is a form of religious intolerance to even contemplate a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the first place.

One thing about me is I love when someone is very plain and straight forward. If you want Muslim- Muslim ticket fine,but don't hide it under the "umbrella of competence". It's funny tho when you say Muslim-Muslim ticket don't matter but you care about zoning, tribe and ethnicity shouldn't matter. It looks as if we don't have competent northern christians.


Now that he has chosen Northern Muslim, don't vote for him and campaign against him. That's all you can do.

Honestly religion and ethnicity shouldn't matter, but don't play double standard. If you want to chose a Muslim-Muslim ticket, don't make it about competency, cos there a people of other faiths who are very competent. I think Nigeria is not matured enough for a Muslim-Muslim Ticket.

To those of you saying "people who are complaining about tinubu Muslim-Muslim ticket won't vote for him in the first place", should note that if Tinubu wins he's going to be the president of all Nigerians not just his supporters alone.

He did not put a gun to anybody's head to wine and dine with him. Why can't they form an alliance to finish him off? We have a Choice not to associate with him, don't we?

I will even advise Tinubu to choose a Traditionalist this time. This country is not meant for Christains and Muslims alone
