I honestly don't understand the basis of your insults. Didn't the OP say he has two kids and has a 2 bedroom place to share with them and his wife? Why insult me instead of correct me if I'm wrong? I only advised him to get a bigger place since his kids are grown.

If not that society has gone to shits, how would we even be here suggesting there is something wrong with siblings sharing a room because they are different genders? It's the reality of the modern world and there's no stopping the train. I long for the world our parents grew up in. It wasn't this bad. Siblings should be able to share a room without even getting ideas until they grow out of the house and become their own persons or start a family. As it stands, the fact that the young woman insists on her own room is already a sign of the societal rot settling in. So, better listen, OP. There's nothing wonderful about it but you have to do it. Demarcate the room for them.

You will have to plead with your son to sleep in the sitting room at night, though it will be unfair to him but as a guy, i believe he will show more understanding than the other gender. His stuffs can be in the other room along with ur daughter stuffs but at night he should manage the sitting room. Please get him a sizable bed and a pillow. Your son should always knock before he enters the room. This kind situation need serious carefulness o.

But here is the problem I have a 19yrs old boy waiting for admission and a 16yrs old girl in ss3 but I don't know how to allocate the 2 bedroom maybe my wife and I should take one and leave the other room for my son and daughter but my girl is already a lady and she doesn't want to share a room with her brother,,am also thinking my wife should share one room with our daughter while I share the remaining room with my son but what if me and my wife need each other.

Where we relocated from we had 3 bedrooms and everyone had his room but because that was the only apartment near and less costly we had to take it.

Don't start what you cannot finish, sharing room is very important right now because it will help in checkmating them, secondly get a 4 by 4 mattress each for them to manage, can they share room if they are in boarding school, Sir use your brain ooo

The best solution, is too get a bunk bed. Your son gets the top, while she gets the bottom. A little space in the room can be for her own table for her feminine stuffs, your son also his own table. If there is a wardrobe,there can share it equally, I have three cousins, we shared one room and these was our settings. Trust me they will bond very well.

have a talk with your kids and let them understand why things are the way they are.

In terms of sharing, you can get a second mattress or foam possibly 2 by 6 type and place in the room where the kids are to stay, let the eldest occupy the bigger foam and the youngest takes the smaller foam which would be placed on the floor

Or better still get a wooden bunk bed of 3 by 6 that would make one person stay up and the other stay down

@Op get separate bed for both of them or your son can sleep in the sitting room at night while they both have their personal belongings in the room.
