Every state must copy what is good in other states, that's the best way to grow. Ekiti sent young men to go learn trading at Onitsha and Aba, Ondo gave back some schools to the missionaries after learning from Anambra.

Nigeria as a whole should copy financial prudence from Peter Obi, Nigeria needs a sound economic manager and Peter Obi is an advanced excellent resource manager on the big scale.

We Nigerians must fight for our independence from corruption. We need to be OBIdient

Cruise catching rogues y'all sad

Findings by Daily Trust Saturday revealed that many traders in different markets across the state defecate in polythene bags or a four-litre paint bucket with cover, which they stuck under slabs along the roads while those who use bucket empty their faeces into nearby gutters, water channels or canals at the close of the day.

Daily Trust Saturday reporter once sighted a full-grown sane man defecating on the Ikeja bridge leading to Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way at about 9am. He was seen bending close to other dry excreta in the full glare of motorists who drove past him.

Aside from open defecation, another common practice is public urination, which takes place virtually everywhere and practiced by all classes of people residing in the state including elite, illiterates, male, female, young and old.

The guiltiest are the men (young and old) as they empty their bladders in the full glare of the public, at any time and anywhere with total disregard for the law against such practice. Commercial bus drivers and conductors while stuck in traffic normally alight to pass urine right on the tarred road by their buses, without considering that the smell of urine can be offensive.

Hoodlums, street urchins and people who are homeless and sleep in open places like under bridges, roadside, shops, markets etc are also guilty of this practice as they freely defecate and urinate anywhere they deem fit.

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

Lagos was the capital of Nigeria for 77 years.... going as far back as before Nigeria even gained her independence, with a lot of federal allocation within that time frame. A lot of companies also situated their headquarters there and refused to relocate after the capital was moved to Abuja, so it is only logical other states comes to learn about it.

Below are old photos from lagos in the 60s/70s.

Rubbish show-off of an obsequious urchins undecided

If it's by understudying, Anambra state should also be boasting because not just fellow sister state's come to understudy her successes but countries also... Edo state was in the state to understudy her Health Insurance system. Lately, Sierra Leaone was in the state to have a better look on their industrial success as a state especially through the growing Nnewi indigenous Industry Zone.

Nigeria is no longer in Emilokan Era, Nigerians are now more OBIdient, he should take that to his master that made him make that outburst.

And Lagos does not go elsewhere to learn and copy what works in other places ..... ?

If that is the case,

It goes to show why the state has never fully attained her full potential..

It goes to show why a Notorious Drug Baron has the State Treasuries at his Beck and Call.

It goes to show why Agberos and Motor Park Touts run things in the State.

Oga ohhhh, countries do go to countries to learn and relearn.
Companies do send staff to learn and relearn.
There is no big deal here sir. By d way, money Lagos generate in a day, is like 4-6 months generation of some states.
If Lagos pass island, some part of surulere, some part of ikeja and some part of yaba, d rest na slum.
Funnily enough, those occupying d slumpy areas are damn suffering and smiling and that's where politicians gets there votes with 1k with ogogoro

What is there to study if they don't have the resources lagos have? Put any mumu as governor of lagos and he won't do less of what the present government is doing. Even b4 1999, marwa was doing well as a military governor of lagos state so what's the fuss about.

Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.
