US Supreme Court rules Americans have fundamental right to carry firearms in public.

The Supreme Court on Thursday struck down a New York gun law enacted more than a century ago that places restrictions on carrying a concealed handgun outside the home.

"Because the State of New York issues public-carry licenses only when an applicant demonstrates a special need for self-defense, we conclude that the State's licensing regime violates the Constitution," Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the court's 6-3 majority.

The opinion changes the framework that lower courts will use going forward as they analyze other gun restrictions, which could include the proposals currently before Congress if they eventually become law.

In the US supreme Court, there are currently 6 republican judges and 3 Democrat judges. The judgement is not surprising at all. The Republicans judges did what their Republican base wants.

The Gun itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.

I laughed at some people when they were calling for gun restrictions to be implemented nationwide, they don't know that it's all about the corporate interest that their cries feel on deaf ears.

Every institution in America is run like an industry, their prison system, the health system, their financial system and many more.
