At what point does one have to start requesting the GCMS NOTE?
2months after application is fair enough.
But you can request at any time.

Hello fam,

Please, for those who got PPR, did you receive email notification that prompted you check your IRCC account or you randomly checked you IRCC account and found the PPR request? I want to know if only checking one's email is enough not to missed out on an important update.

Those of us waiting and praying... God will answer us soon in Jesus name.
Personally, I just checked my portal and I saw 2 unread mails in the morning... Email notification later came in about 5-6 hours later!

If the company wishes to sponsor you, tell them to release the fund to you by disbursing into your account and backing it up with a letter of sponsorship.
Pls regarding your answer to this question, is it necessary to notarize the sponsorship letter?

Please I collected loans from my office to make up my proof of funds. It affected my salary and it showed in my salary account, how do I explain the loans and is it alright if I say I collected car and housing loans?
Why will you say you collected loan for car or housing and you're using it for study? I don't think such will fly...

Attached a statement from your office to show you collected an educational loan. IRCC do support loan for education purposes. It's part of accepted proof of funds listed on their website. So use it!

Is there no way he could answer it and get an approval?

I doubt it, if possible, they would have asked him without refusing him in the first place.
I was refused in 2016 and banned for 5years, I used an agent and I didn't answer it in the question form but the visa consular detected some documents submitted from an agent as POF,they knew and they classified it as misrepresentation.

Brand new laptop isn't so expensive here..the prices are very fair unlike phones besides you can get very clean used one at Facebook market place of your province as low as 100-200cad

Two months (8 weeks) is still within the normal processing time. If after 12 weeks (as seen in the screenshot below) there is no update from IRCC , make it your duty to send webforms and mails to IRCC offices at least thrice every week.

Also reach out to the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Province or Town your school is located in Canada to use his office to reach out to IRCC on your behalf.

There are mail templates for IRCC and the MP posted on these forum, you can go through it to draft yours based on your situation

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by gaeul(f): 4:32pm On Jun 24, 2022
It is if you have Nigeria charger. Yes they have multiple sockets but Canada charging ports are different from ours. Theirs is so tiny like d second pics I posted. You can Google it for clearer view
Filanodivine:

Thanks for the info. Is the universal charger really important or it’s just choice. They should have multiple sockets in a room

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by gaeul(f): 4:35pm On Jun 24, 2022
Someone just said Infinix works in his or hers, so I think it depends on province but Samsung and iphone products works perfectly well. I had a tecno but had to buy an iphone here cos their sim didnt work in mine but still use wifi on my tecno though

Thanks for sharing. Your post was very helpful. One question please, which brand of mobile phone we use here works in Canada?

This is the kind of socket in Canada. So if your Laptop charger, Phone Charger etc. can't fit in to the socket in the image below, get a TRAVEL UNIVERSAL ADAPTOR as shown in the second image below.

If you are based in LAGOS, Check COMPUTER VILLAGE at Ikeja, the price ranges between 2,500 and 4,500
