Hello, excel gurus in the house!
Pls check out this simple Sales entry form and database I designed using excel. The two were connected using VBA programming.

I was inspired by this thread

To create this for a frozen food store in front of my house ( I notice they fill the sales log and calculate manually using pen and book),
they have a PC though.

I also create one for the POS transaction for the thread above

Looks good. So Excel can link database? Never heard of that before.

Excel Can be linked to a database but this not worth being linked to a Database. I will be surprise if it is because it's not complex in anyway.

You Can as well add a drop down list to the payment mode You also know how this was done. Data - Data Validation- list. After you must have highlighted your values in their cell range.
Also did you write any argument for price_per_kg incase the basic price per kg for each products are not the same? or are you assuming the price for each category of products per kg is 100? My One Cent.

The product category, mode of payment all have a dropdown list
you only need to enter the Quantity/kg as this varies (these are validated as they cant be blank)

Price_per_kg and total_price are generated automatically using the "IF" function.

click the save button, a prompt is generated "Do you want to submit" YES save it in the database.

you can delete a record by entering the S/No.

The transaction ID or serial no. are auto increment, date and time too are auto generated.

If you're applying Visual Basic on this LB excel form, What will you do when there's something much more complex? This validation code must have been a miracle for you cos I don't get the excitement over visual basic.

I just called your attention to the payment_mode field and I also enquired if you write any argument to check price_per_kg once the products changes. You also know the
Price of turkey per kilo will never be equal to the price of a kilo of chicken so where's the "Lols" coming from? Bro knowledge without condemnation is what I've done... So calm down.
