To be fair, this looks like a sectional list. I can't even find a person with a clear Igbo name. Is it a coincidence or they are being deliberately schemed out? Whichever it is, it is bad IMO.

God bless Nigeria.

God bless every ethnic group in the country.

Even under GEJ it was un-GEJ-like. Something must be happening somewhere.

The first Yoruba to become a lawyer was Chief Christopher Sapara Williams. He was born in Sierra Leone and of Ijesha origin. He was the first Nigeria lawyer called to the English bar on 17 November 1879.

Yorùbá people are way ahead of any tribe in Nigeria, in terms of educational standards. Other tribes in Nigeria needs to utilize them to moving the country forward. They're brilliant people.

I see no Benin man there, no Esan man there, no Ijaw man there, no Tiv man there. I don't see any man that's not a Yoruba or Fulani man there.
There's marginalisation of every other tribe apart from Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani

You all should wonder why an Igbo never made the list from within yourselves and stop claiming marginalization against other tribes…that itself is a form of ethnic consciousness that will even make it more difficult. These positions don’t just drop on anyone’s laps to fulfill ethnic balance. A lot comes to play, of course ethnicity is also part of it.

They were times until 1999 when no Yoruba man in any democratic government in Nigeria ever for once attain the position President and Vice President since independence. Igbos attain this positions first. It’s not about dominating others, but what was brought to the table. Even with Awolowo and other big Yoruba politicians. Nnamdi Azikwe became Nigerian’s first President, then Alex Ekweme became Nigeria’s Vice President too.

It’s all about positioning and other factors that comes to play within the bench, government in power, relationship and the situation of the political setup during the period this judges were appointed.

The victim mentality is becoming sickening, nobody will deliver a juicy position if you don’t work and fight for it..not even if you are an Hausa man or Yoruba, you must merit it within the contexts of political setups and relevance of the government.
Azikwe was only a ceremonial president. Fact

Which success aside from drugs and baby factory’s enterprise?

You want an Igbo man to become Nigeria Chief Justice so Igbos can start another riot like they started the first Nigeria coup that killed a lot of Nigerians?

So you expect Nigeria government to make a biafra citizen it’s Chief Justice? I doubt you understand the meaning of Chief Justice..

Go back to history..

We know your fears
We ain’t hypocrites like your tribes men
We are bold and strong to the core
To hell with your Chief Justice position

Bunch of failures, there is nothing to show that you guys have been doing well as chief justices, cos Nigeria judiciary system is still trash till date…

Ndi Igbo are already immuned to discriminatory stuff like this.
I am still curious as to why the JAMB and unity schools cut off points remain highest among the same Igbos that are not considered 'good enough' for high positions. Until this question is answered, Nigeria will not progress.

The fact that no Igbo man is on that list has largely to do with the Biafran civil war.

Losing the war set the SE back politically.

Not totally true, Justice Ayo Gabriel Irikefe was an Urhobo man.

Urhobos are Yoruba cousins. Or is Ayo an Igbo name? Go and check history again. oral tradition has it that the great ancestor and founding father of Ughelli (Ughene) is the second son of Oghwoghwa, a Prince from Benin Kingdom, and I hope you recollect that Benins are Yoruba biological brothers. Therefore, Urhobos are Yoruba sub ethnic group.
