You are far from the realities in the country, which credible source are you waiting for? It's the locals that can tell their stories before credible source can come in to blow it up and for verification.

Nigerian media only covers the capital cities in the country. This same scenario occured in my community where soldiers razed down some sections of the communiy.

If I wasn't a witness to what happened I would have believed that northerners aren't the major players in extra Judicial actions they perpetrate in the southern part of Nigeria through the military and the police.

That faithful morning the soldiers came in, my bro drove to my community to visit my parents who were there for holidays and was on his way back. He just drove out of the compound when the military men took him hostage by 6.30am even when he identified himself as a legal luminary and was fully dressed for court session that morning.

It took me considerate finance and logistics to get to where he was after over 2hours journey. I brought in security personels, went in to see the king of the ethnic nationality, saw the military commander in charge of the LGA and a host of other troubles I went through.

All the period I was doing all of this he and others were told to lie flat and face the sun while the other team members went in to burn down houses in the community.

This is where the twist came in, when I eventually stepped in to where he was held hostage, a southern soldier pleaded on his behalf that he should be allowed to sit in his vehicle and wait. This guy assured my brother that he should be strong and that he is ready to pull his last bullets on his superiors if they do any nonsense. A crime committed by two hoodlums innocent people should not pay for their crimes.

The commander that gave the other to burn down houses is a northerner .If Northerners experience a little of what people down south experience in the hands of military operatives you would understand why peoe make that assertion.
