9jaRealist: So abortion should be our priority now since it is being talked about in another country Every country has their own specific challenges and needs which they need to focus on, abortion is the least of our problems at the moment. |

Nigeria is a very stupid country. One of the reasons why most people are suffering is because of too many people chasing few opportunities. And most of the people are liabilities. We need to legalize abortion as soon as possible to reduce population growth. We cannot cater for most of our population. 2 Likes |

jmoore: When last have you visited an orphanage? I can bet my last kobo that donating to the orphanage is an after thought for you. There's one thing that is clear, you can't force anyone to raise a child and if people kept dumping newborns at the orphanage, even Nigerian government will start pleading for mercy. When a country makes safe abortion unlawful guess what happens? Women turn to quacks and chemicals for abortion. The law might ban abortion but it says nothing about drinking a bottle of gin for 3 night straight, it says nothing about smoking heavily or over stressing to the point of miscarriage......THINK AM WELL, if women truly wanted to abort, there's nothing any law can do about it! |

jmoore: Apples to oranges, terrorism, armed robbery affects others, you are comparing it to something that affects the woman's body, HER BODY! You are still not answering my question, what happens when women are forced to carry a pregnancy and then they deliver the child then turn around not wanting anything to do with it, is the government foing to force those women to raise the babies or would the orphanage continue to get over populated with little to no funding? How many donations have you made to the orphange? Have you adopted any child or are you still a child yourself? You keep shouting abortion is murder, I just agve you ways in which an abortion won't even look like an abortion. Is your government going to start prosecuting women for miscarriages? DON'T BE SILLY! |

You've surrendered yourself as obedient slave of your urges to mate irresponsibly. You should be ashamed of yourself. A slave of bestial animal desires has no rights. Repent. Sex Is for married couples alone. Shalom. |

abbey621:Miscarriage is not deliberate, abortion is deliberate. Common sense 101!!! Stay away from unprotected sex if you cannot afford a condom. The baby in the womb is not part of a woman's body. It is a different being. You skilled biology classes? How many orphanages have rejected babies? You keep asking silly questions!!! |

Most times, a lady will only get pregnant if she is pregnant or just not informed. Even if she had raw sex, there are morning after pills that are at least 80% effective in avoiding pregnancy. |

Queenlas: People only sees abortion as the situation where a single girl gets accidental pregnancy and wishes to terminate is to avoid the associated shame and disgrace. This is not just the only condition where an abortion can be sorted. A legally married woman can request for abortion with the consent of her husband if that pregnancy can cause a serious and adverse health condition to the woman or may even cause the death of the woman if allowed to continue. Ectopic pregnancy can be legally aborted if confirmed that the carrier may die even as the baby may not even fully developed or may even die on delivery. Improperly formed fetus can be aborted instead of allowing the woman carry and birth a baby looking like a monster. These are some of the conditions that may trigger requesting for abortion legally. It is still illegal in Nigeria for anyone to terminate pregnancy cos it was accidental or the person was not married and wanted to avoid what the society will say about the pregnancy. |
