Yes, what do you think caused the drop in production? Oil theft, a major reason. I am from the Niger Delta and Ijaw. When I give you information about the oil and gas industry, am doing so with a deep knowledge in the system.

If this is an exam, you'd fail and still complain the lecturer hates you despite doing so well. This has nothing to do with deregulation regardless of your locality.

I wonder where EFCC is in times like this.

If EFCC were really effective, they will be arresting Nigerian politicians on a daily basis, because the corruption is just too much.
For security of its tenure, every administration appoints EFCC chairman to hound its opponents, deter would be opponets, that's mainly what EFCC is there for.

All this government supporters shouting subsidy upandan, shey na brain una no get or using it is the problem??

Simply diversify the economy and let other sectors function competitively, we have the agro sector, tech, even real estate, all this and many more could help cushion the adverse effects of whatever revolution we might be planning in the oil industry

But, our own is to consume, consume and consume.

You know we like to complain and expect white man to solve our problems. If we know what 500 billion will do for our roads, education, health, even pension.

Oil production has dropped.. He has not addressed that problem but instead talking of drilling new wells to take advantage of current spike in oil price. I really believe this country needs someone like Wike to be President.... who will throw a fool like this down an oil well.

What do you understand by deregulation of the downstream oil sector. See when they deregulate investors will invest creating more jobs. There may not be much oil theft if there are jobs for the youths
I put it to you that it's not the youth stealing the oil. The same people who are telling you that oil is stolen are the people stealing it. Those in govt are the key oil bunkers. Do you know they use cargo ships to steal Nigerian crude at the high sea? You think it's the man on the street that does that?Is there any other country in this world where you hear of crude oil theft? There cannot be crude oil theft if the govt is not involved. Did they not say they've FULLY deregulated AGO and DPK? How much is a litre of both now? If Nigeria out of hate and tribalism fails to get Peter Obi come 2023, they will see their own ears in the coming years.

President Buhari
JosephXavier:
Who is the Minister for petroleum?

He should be held accountable or should resign from his post if he is incompetent to the task he is supposed to carry out

You're not elected to be junketing from one country to another while you couldn't protect the only source of income of the country while refusing to invest in other potential sectors that would have helped the growth of the nation's economy
