Country manager or Manager sub Saharan Africa will be managed by an Indian. Those people are worse than Nigerians.

I used to work with Amazon in Dubai, I know how they role.

Still in Dubai?

Yes but, he didn't stop there.

Talk about your drug lord that want to recruit 50 million inexperienced Nigerian youth to go and commit suicide.
The one that want to feed the 50million youth with corn and agbado.

Oh, I almost wanted to comment cursing Amazon tf out, cos they're a monopoly and shouldn't be welcomed if they're in the customer service business since they are literally in every market and can harm the economy if everybody relies on them. But since it's just clowd I support it

More competition would automatically create a better economy in that sector.
Amazon might just begin drone delivery for same day delivery. Trust me, Jumia, Konga and the rest would need to copy!
Yen yen yen
Drone delivery ke undecided
With your Nepa cables and powerlines littered allover the airspace.
At most POD in lagos and Abuja only.
If it's not amazon like in the UAE, US and UK then it's a DOA

I don't know the miracle Jeff hopes to pull in Nigeria.

Because,
Nigeria is not ripe for amazon yet, the numbers are there but many factors are lacking the most from security to networking.
If this is about sales, it's DOA

Jiji concept still remains the best!
Consumer to consumer sales. Meet and greet, inspect and pay

OR simply make the amazon website available for easy buy and access to Nigerians and payment with nigerian cards and set up pickup points around the country.
they should not accept POD

AMAZON is coming for its AWS - Amazon Web Services (i.e. cloud computing) not e-commerce. Ask if you don't understand. No matter how knowledgeable you are, you cannot know about all fields.

This is great news. I hope we become a hub, that'll be tens of thousands of jobs.

A $500m data center is being built in Lagos by Strive Masiyiwa. If completed both AWS and Azure should set up AZs there with Nigeria and SA on the map
