when you demarket your country, you will pay for it for years to come. Firstly, it has since come out that the attacks in Owo that is quoted in that report were not religiously motivated, it has since come out that it was illegal mining business deal gone wrong. For years America refused to sell Nigeria vital military equipment to fight Boko haram because idiots were demarketing Nigeria abroad because they were against the govt in power, they also blocked other countries from selling to us....in the end who did that harm?
Wetin illegal mining deal get to do with church oga?

Until Buhari leaves office, I don't see the killing of Christians abating.

Buhari has really shown how fanatic he can be.

Some will still masturbate on this gibberish from some hypocritical idiotic American senators who would pretend to be defending christianity in Nigeria while promoting LGBT in their own land and foisting on others.
The violence in their own America is worse than that of Nigeria.
Nigerian Christians are more free to practice their religion in Nigeria than in a country where supposed Christian children can be scolded for indulging in sacrilegious acts like LGBT.
They should go and help Ukraine christians dying in the hands of a dictator.

If that happens it will affect everyone.

Christians might get preferential treatment and scholarship compared to Muslims but in the long run everybody will suffer it.

Because they will cut off most of our trade Links and deny Nigeria access to resources that can help the country grow.

exactly, thats why you should never jump to conclusions. Things are hardly what they seem in this country Nigeria. It is no coincidence that areas where there is a lot of kidnapping, banditry etc e.g Zamfara, Ondo etc are areas of intensive illegal mining. The reports from the men arrested are that it was a business deal involving the priest. We are always quick to blame everything on Religion. A lot of it has nothing to do with religion.

The US should focus on their country and not interfere. We would list them as countries without regards for human life since they cannot do something about gun violence. The US should face their domestic issues and not interfere. We will fight our battles and win our battles

Right wing religious fanatics.
These useless right wing religious fanatics better concentrate on their own problems in the US instead of trying to impose their own religious fanaticism on others.
You have people having their rights violated on daily basis in the US but these fools rather talk about other countries.
Fools.

except you are an extremist your conscience would'nt have allowed you to speak against this move. can you claim ignorance of why Deborah was killed in the most painful way in sokoto?
why was Leah Sharibu held in captive by Islamic fanatics?
what message are islamic bigots trying to pass with Owo catholic church attack?
these and many more unreported cases of persecution and threat against christians across nigeria require urgent intervention from US

islam will never grow in the south. We prefer peaceful coexistence, love and respect for fellow humans despite our different ethnicities and belief than hate and violence for fellow humans in the name of religion. We don't tolerate subjugation mentality.

Hope they tackle the bandits and terrorists attacking people. Not giving our military sufficient weapons to fight terrorists, emboldens and swell the ranks of the bandits and terrorists. What the US need to do is empower the multi national force of West African nations, with jets, to bomb those borderlines hideout, lake chads and mountainous regions in the Sahel where terrorists seek refuge. US support Nigeria with weapons to defeat terrorists, if you are our friend. USA, Europe, NATO, if you are friends of Nigeria, give us weapons to destroy ISWAP, Boko Haram and ansarudeen terrorists networks in Nigeria.

What has LGBT got to do with murder of innocent Christians by Islamic fanatics who lack tolerance for other faith. Did LGBT guys kill or have they shown any act of violence to force anybody surrendering to their orientation? Why leave substance to chase shadow?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of relisting Nigeria as a country of particular concern over increasing violence against Christians

Relisting Nigeria means there will be no more security support to fight boko haram and other terrorists or such support will come with tight uncomfortable conditions

Was it not obvious that Nigeria had no religious freedom?

The mannequin at the Villa connived with the mannequin at the white House to delist Nigeria that is obviously backing religious extremism and islamization

The terrorists fighting jihad are all over the country from the deserts of Zamfara to the rain forests of Sapele and their grand commander can't arrest any of them but not minding that they commit their atrocity within the Nigerian territory but could lure, trace and arrest a man all the way from UK to Kenya for fighting and defending his people
Nigeria is coming to an end. Northern Nigeria would surely pay the price.

Nigeria remains a country where being a Christian is a death warrant.

There have been more Church shootings in the USA and more Christians dead by violence in the USA by a set of extremists who share the same Party Platform of the the Republican Senators who wrote the above letter & recommendation.

Each time these shootings takes place in the USA, Senator Hawley and his co-authors of the above letter don’t write to include USA on the list of Countries supporting violence against Christians, they instead offer their “thoughts and prayers” and advocate for more gun access.

Charity, they say begins at home. Let’s these Senators remove the plank in their eyes before pointing fingers.

With the way precedents and rights are being reversed in the USA with some dating back about 90 years back, in no time slavery will be ruled constitutional and inter-racial marriage and many decisions made based on the privacy and equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment will be ruled unconstitutional.

When the terrorists marched into the USA to bring it down, they will be holding a cross on one hand and the Bible on the other, with a big R on their chest to show their identity and allegiance to Senator Harley’s Republican Party, synonymous to his fist bump to the Capital Hills invaders.

I just have a simple question which I would like South West muslims to help me answer. How come Yoruba muslims are so tolerant and accommodating of other religions, while thier northern counterparts are so intolerant and blood-thirsty?

Realists:

Hypocrites abound in this world, it's a fact that for every 1 Christian killed in Nigeria, more than 5 Innocent Muslims are killed due to the insecurity caused by the United States of Hypocrites, when they deliberately toppled Muhammad Gadaffi's Government in Libya.
Muslim countries need to blacklist USA & her crusaders sister states enemies of Islam.
The modern slavery & neo colonization of Africa been done by the USA crusader state, is far more evil than the sugar plantations forced labour.

Time's gone. It's no longer necessary. The country has already decayed and no one can ever bring it back-to-life.
