Hello Healthlanders,

My 6 months and 3 weeks old baby started pooing after every meal since last week. I wasn't worried because he feeds very well, is still as active as ever and the consistency of the poo is normal and not runny like diarrhea kind.

A lot of people have attributed it to teething and advised that I start giving him flagyl after which I start Bonababe. Bonababe I'm comfortable with, but you see that flagyl, I dey fear am. I want to take him to his paed tomorrow, but that guy is super expensive and he'll make sure we run series of tests which will mostly come out okay.

Abeg, if I can get expert advice here, I'll be more than happy as I'll be saving money.

Teething doesn't cause diarrhea. Since the consistency is normal, don't give any thing.

Is it not ideal to consult the "expensive" physician with a high possibility of cure than to waste money on what people suggest with low or no possibility of cure?

Okay, I'll do all that. Yes I have, he eats Tom brown, oats meal, vegetable puree and swallow. He takes just about anything basically, it's just this poo that's bothering me.

Just ask the pediatricians. They'll relive you of your worries.
